Summary: We first stayed at Sunset View in July 2024. Found it to be perfect. Decided to try again in May, 2025. We were NOT disappointed! Mike and Regina are the perfect hosts. The home was spotless. Bed extremely comfortable. Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping But far enough away (out on the country) that it was quiet and peaceful.

Summary: My husband and I had a perfect weekend stay at Regina and Mike's lovely "Daudi Haus" in Sugarcreek. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home, beautiful sunset views, the story and singing of the "Purple Martins" each evening. The king size bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything thing needed for a longer stay and access to a garage to unload our baggages and groceries was an added bonus! This is a very peaceful and cozy retreat within easy access to many of Sugarcreek and nearby Amish places of interest that we enjoyed visiting. Regina and Mike are wonderful hosts who communicated in a timely fashion, provided brochures and suggestions of restaurants and places of interest and made sure our stay was perfect! We will surely return to this gem of a home away from home again!

Summary: Sunset view house was peaceful and quiet area . The house was immaculate. The king size bed was very comfortable. Has a washer and dryer for use while there . And the best perk was that the owners allowed the guests to park in the garage . My husband and I enjoyed watching the purple Martin’s fly around the yard . Mike and Regina have 6 purple Martin houses . Nice to see all the purple martins. Enjoyed seeing the Amish passing by the house. The sunsets were beautiful.

Summary: Pictures were exactly how it was. Extremely clean and beautiful location with excellent views. The hosts replied timely and had thought ahead of everything we needed and then some. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Usually in this area we are away from where we are staying until evening, but I would plan an extra day just to relax and enjoy the views.

Summary: I have stayed at the Sunset View several times. I have not been disappointed. Mike and Regina have been the best host and hostess. The apartment and grounds are meticulously kept. And in season, the Purple Marlins are so enjoyable to watch! Not to mention the horses across the road and sometimes the horse and buggies going by. If you want company, Regina and Mike are there, if you want solitude, they respect that as well. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Summary: The home was perfect for my husband and I. We were located close to several Amish towns and my husband was in heaven. We enjoyed the shopping and the relaxing at home. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to any family.

Summary: The hosts are great in making you feel welcome and like family. Love the place and hope one day to return when the weather will allow us to sit outside. Having the garage was an added bonus because on our arrival it was cold and snow showers. Will be sure and stay here whenever we are in the area. They are very accommodating with requests if reasonable and able to grant the requests.

Summary: I absolutely loved my stay here . Check in was easy and one of the best things was a heated garage to load and unload your car . Also no steps on the property made it very easy to carry in suitcases, groceries etc. The entire place was spotless and the decorations and furnishings were so welcoming . I had a low tire towards the end of my stay and the owners were so sweet and filled my tire for me . I would love to come back sometime when the weather is warm to see the purple martins . I would absolutely 100% recommend staying here .
