Summary: Very convenient location for shopping and access to Narita Airport. There is a shuttle bus stop from/to Narita right in front of the hotel. However, it is bit of a walk from the JR Ikebukuro Station. I had two suitcases with two children. Should have just taken a taxi from the station. Without suitcases and small kids it shouldn’t be a problem. The hotel is literally connected to Ikebukuro Sunshine - great access to Pokemon Center, Aquarium etc. Hotel breakfast is at best mediocre. I’ll probably stay again if I were flying out of Narita but probably not including the breakfast option.

Summary: We were initially concerned that it was to far from the sights we wished to take in, but this proved not to be the case. The Metro was a short walk from the hotel. The shopping facilities in The Sunshine City Mall were incredible. The staff were attentive and always willing to help. The room, although a little different by European standards was large and adequate, but there were not any drawers for storage and no cupboards. The view from the Panorama Room was awesome.

Summary: This is not the first time I stayed in this hotel. The hotel has some renovation compared to my last stay. The check-in was good. However, they just did part of the room clean-up during my stay. They didn't change the used cups and glasses and replenish the tea bags and coffee. I called the Room Service Counter, they hang up on me when I spoke in English. I then called the Receptionist, they did the same when hear English speaking. I have to go down to the front desk from my room. I felt that I was not the first one reporting the issue to the Receptionist as she did not try to listen to my request but just asked how many water bottles, tea bags and coffees I needed.

Summary: Good location although need to walk around 8-10min to nearest JR Station (JR Ikebukuro). Arranging higher floor room as requested which has nice view and great sunlight. Also air purifier + humidifier is provided but the humidifier function is limited and still felt dry when staying in room. Inside hotel has 24-hr convenient store (Family Mart) which is very convenient during stay. Airport bus (from/to Haneda or Narita Airport) is stopping just outside of hotel. Washroom is like Toyoko-Inn style which is a bit disappointed for 4-star hotel. Also kid dropped some dry noodles (snack) on the floor / carpert. Saw still there after 1st room cleaning cycle and i called and reported on that. Those dry noodles were still there when check-out (i stayed 4-night). Need to improve cleaning process.

Summary: Overall the location is excellent with direct entry to the mall and walking distance from the train. But i dont know if they were short staffed or something but we came back several days at around 4 oclock pm and our room had not been cleaned yet, on those days we just asked that they take away our trash and leave us fresh towels. As for the beds im not sure if its a cultural.thing but they felt hard almost worn and i swear you could feel the springs in the beds. The hotel was celebrating its 45th anniversary and i have a feeling our room hadn't had many touch ups since it opened 45 years ago. Not to mention the thin walls someone upstairs from is probably had kids running around at 11pm and we called the front desk to ask them to quiet down but im not to sure they did anything as the noise continued on for at least another hour. I originally chose to stay here because i did last year and had nothing but an amazing experience with this hotel. But this year was almost a 180 from that last time. I'm hoping the hotel will reevaluate and insure the quailty in all of their room because for a place that is supposedly a high rated hotel its quality consistency leaves something to be desired as I pay more to receive a certain level of quality and this stay was not it.
