Positive: The Concierge contacted us two weeks ahead to set up a WhatsApp group to help with any questions. Response times were really good and they helped with queries as much as they could. The apartment was lovely and spacious with good facilities. Having two bathrooms was helpful. The lounge area was nice and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and could be controlled in each room. It was nice having an outdoor space for eating in the evening. All in all it is a very comfortable space and benefits by having a lift to get to the top floor. All the equipment for cooking/washing etc is good quality and thought had gone into ensuring the kitchen was well equipped. The local Spar is next door and big enough to have a very good choice of groceries, drinks, ice etc. The apartment is near the harbour which is handy for getting the local land train to the Old Town, for boat trips including the ferry to Sardinia, and the bus to Porto Vecchio.
Negative: There is no canopy on the main balcony so at times it's too hot to sit out. Although there is a large café style umbrella, it is tricky to put up without instructions and can only be put up when there is no wind, so we only put it up once and even then it only provided limited shade due to the angle of the sun. The neighbour's balcony is set up with a canopy from one end to the other that appeared to work really well. Regarding the shower in the bigger bathroom, a folding screen or curtain and wall bracket to mount the shower head would make it much easier to use. Also a 1 page advice sheet on how to use the hob, air-conditioning, the TV, and where to put the recycling would be helpful. We worked all these out ourselves but a quick instruction sheet would have made things easier. As it is a roof apartment, all the bedrooms have sloping ceilings. In two of the rooms the slope is above the bed so you have to be careful getting out of bed especially if you need to get up in the dark to go the bathroom. One of our group is quite tall and knocked his head a couple of times before he got used to it.

Positive: The location of the apartment was excellent, it was beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is in the best of spots with easy access to the Citadel, a few minutes walk to the harbour with its restaurants and scenic boat trips while also being very accessible by road with the bonus of a secure parking spot. The interior and exterior spaces in the apartment are ideal places to wind down.
Summary: A tranquil stay on the Ile of Beauty in low season, highly recommended.
