Summary: I couldn't speak more highly of the week we stayed in the Susanna gite. Everything was perfect and felt very luxurious. The grounds and pool were both exquisite. Marie and Peter were incredible welcoming, helpful and relaxed, and it was real treat to hear Marie's practising her world-class opera singing. The gite was perhaps a bit cosy for the size of our group (two adults, a 16 year old and a 6 year old), and we would probably have been better suited to the larger gite if it had been available, not that we wanted to stay inside for very long. Highly recommended.

Summary: Fantastic welcoming genuine hosts with great local knowledge who made every effort to make our stay as great as possible. Lovely surroundings and enjoyed the pool and garden. Great facilities on hand that our stay easy. Property Good facilities with stylish decor. Didn’t spoil our stay but bed / mattress needs renewing and shower leaked.

Summary: Great property in a very attractive region. Excellent garden and options to enjoy outdoor chilling. Very nice pool, table tennis - and pool table. Okay apartment but small bathroom. Master bed short and old. Peter and Marie are very lovely hosts and we enjoyed their and other guests presents very much.

Summary: Peter and Marie are wonderful hosts, we felt like we were staying with old friends. Beautiful house and grounds, immaculately clean and tidy everywhere. You could easily spend your week just staying at the property with the pool, table tennis, badminton, pool table or just sitting enjoying the garden and drawing or reading. Very hi spec in the apartments - we stayed in Susanna but got the chance to look round all the others and I would love to stay in any of them. Marcelina and the apartment next to it (not advertised here, but they do rent it out) have large private balconies in front of their glass frontage on the first floor. Peter and Marie were really helpful with anything we needed. We had a great day renting a boat on the local canal network, also went cycling on the Ile de Re beyond La Rochelle, visited Rochefort and the lovely little beach town of Fouras. Would highly recommend any of the properties and the hosts! Thank you P & M.

Summary: We spent a lovely family holiday in the "Susanna". The cottage was attractively decorated and had everything we could need. The setting was beautiful and gave us a relaxing break while our children, 9 and 11, enjoyed the heated pool and daily table tennis challenges. It was lovely to sit in the garden and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Peter, the owner, was on hand with restaurant and wine recommendations!
