Looking for a place to unplug (NO WIFI), relax and recharge? Superior Reflections Cabin # 2 is the place for you, right on the shore of Lake Superior. Whether you’re enjoying coffee overlooking the lake, a glass of wine on the deck as kayakers glide past or watching the sea gulls in the afternoon, there’s nothing more relaxing. This is a 1 bed, 1 bath cabin with a full bed and small kitchen with basic necessities. There’s dining table with chairs and 2 comfortable chairs for relaxing. Outside there’s a deck with a table and chairs, along with a charcoal grill.
The steps take you down to the cobblestone beach where you can search for agates or read a book. An evening campfire on the shore gazing at the stars is the perfect way to end the day. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 3 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods.
Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza.
This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.
We provide towels, linens and soaps. Please bring your personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner).

Summary: We loved the cabin. It was small, modest, but thoughtfully maintained, comfortable, and close to the water. We enjoyed hikes, ebike ride, and delicious meals both out and in. We prob could have used one more night, we stayed 3 nights. Schroeder is a very convenient location for up and down the shore.

Summary: This was our third visit to this cabin on the water. We could not love this place more. This year we had a new bed and deck which made our stay even more comfortable. We would love to see a blow dryer so we don't have to bring one along. It would be nice to have a few more knives in the kitchen. We cooked the entire time we were there. Tofte General Store has fresh trout and white fish that was delicious. You won't regret staying here. Thank you for sharing this home. See you next year.

Summary: This is my second time here and the minute I arrived from my 11 hour drive, my heart soared. It felt as if I was finally home. It is the most peaceful, serene and beautiful cabin. The cabin does not feel small at all due to the wall of windows that open wide to the panoramic view and sound of the water and the gentle breeze. I am especially glad there isn't WiFi or a TV. I can always use my cell service as a hotspot but I preferred to be disconnected from the world. I felt so much more at peace and reflective. I'm so grateful to my hosts who allow me to have my dogs and I was especially cognizant of this privilege by wiping their paws, and covering the chairs and bed. I don't know what I would do traveling without them. The cabin is very clean and very comfortable. All I can say is that it is perfect. Barb and Mike are so very kind and responsive.
