Positive: Getting a phone call from the managing real estate was helpful to access the room. I didn’t mind that there was no-one to meet us, it seemed like a more independent stay.
Negative: The notice above the sink stating we’d be charged an extra $50 if we didn’t wash up or remove rubbish. As it happens there was already a $60 charge included in the room rate for cleaning. Having to climb about 6 sets of stairs in the open, thankfully no rain & we were fit enough. An odd step up to the bathroom.
Summary: Quiet and comfortable, only stairs to access the room.

Positive: Located in the centre of the CBD of Emu Park, everything is within walking distance including cafes, supermarket, takeaway shops, newsagency, museum, art gallery and the beach. I enjoyed a lovely meal and service at Ocean Brew Cafe and fish and chips from Emu Park Fish n Chips. Now, I am reluctantly sharing the following story of how I locked myself out of my room and the complex (due to a brain lapse) on a Thursday night because I want people to know just how amazing the people in this place are. So, I locked my keys and phone in the room and in a panic I walked out the gate that had a code that I didn't know and so, I couldn't get back in. I then went over to the fish and chip shop and asked the young shop assistant if I could use the shop phone, she instead gave me her mobile phone to use without charge. With no luck getting an after hours number for the business looking after the apartments and unable to access my Booking.com app, I gave up and went about wandering the streets. I asked for directions to the police station, but was told it might be closed. As I'm walking, I'm thinking to myself, "surely someone knows someone who can help me", and then I wander past the local TSG shop that's just about to close. I take a chance and walk in and ask, "Do you know *person who looks after the apartments*?" and the person says, yes! They are able to call a friend who knows a friend who's the daughter of the person that has the spare key and can get me back into the apartment. Relieved, I waited for this poor person who has to drive in 10mins just to give me the spare key. I am grateful to each and every person that helped. Thank you.
