The accommodation is set amongst Paperbark trees (once part of the surrounding Tomaree national park), a short stroll from the crystal waters of One Mile Beach. Enjoy the peace and quiet after a day at the beach or visiting the local attractions of Port Stephens.
Flexible accommodation that can offer:
1. A luxury cottage with two bedrooms, fully self-contained, Resort//tropical setting, Sleeps up to 4 people (1 Queen size and 2 king singles)
2. A self-contained bunkhouse that sleeps up to 5 people (1 Queen size, 1 Bunk bed, 1 roll out trundle in the bunkroom) with courtyard BBQ area, pool table and entertainment system. Great teenagers retreat and accommodation.
3. A combination of both facilities that can sleep up to 9 people. Ideal for small groups or 2 families with older children.
4. Make your stay special. We can have the champagne and wine waiting on ice for your arrival.
All accommodation also has access to:
* Billabong style non heated saltwater swimming pool available during the warmer months.
* Enjoy the feeling of the great outdoors with visits from Koalas, lorikeets and possums, the fragrance of Frangipani and Jasmine in the evening and tranquility to sooth the soul.
* On-site assistance to help you enjoy the local surfing beaches, fishing spots, recreation and attractions of this beautiful locality. Your nearest neighbour is myself and my family who live in the main house on the property.
Surfside Dreaming and the main house are separated by the pool and gardens with mature paperbark trees dotted around and between the buildings.
* Plenty of boat / motorcycle trailer parking with wash down facilities.
Surfside Dreaming is not ideal for young children, families with children under the age of 12 should enquire by email to gauge suitability of accommodation.
We also rent the Cottage on its own at a cheaper rate (please see https://www.stayz.com.au/9192626 which is our other listing called "Surfside Dreaming Cottage" for 1-4 guests) for prices.
We do not rent the Bunkhouse separately, so you can be assured of your privacy.
Within close proximity (8km) to your accomodation is the hub of Nelson Bay with its acclaimed Marina, restaurants, alfresco cafes and souvenier shopping. Nelson Bay also boasts fantastic dolphin and whale watching cruises. All this just a 10 minute drive from tranquility.

Summary: We were a group of mums from Sydney who travelled north to walking the 28km coastal walk. We stayed over night at the property splitting the walk into two days. The property was perfect for what we wanted and host Julie was so kind to alert us to a wild koala! We would love to send our hubbies to enjoy carbon copy of the experience!

Summary: Lovely house in the bushland in a serene and private setting, we loved the wildlife too. The house and kitchen were well equipped. Spacious place with lots to do plus a pool and close to the beach. The teenage retreat was awesome, although, it really could do with an air conditioner as it was too hot. However, it didn't stop us from playing pool/snooker and listening and dancing to some of the many thousands of songs that were available. Julie and Guy were perfect hosts. We hope to be back sometime soon. Thank you!

Summary: Hen's weekend for 8 women who just wanted to take it easy and catch up. This was the perfect location. We were all comfortable and relaxed. The best was the entertainment by Big Boy the 8 month old koala and his carer Julie, purely joyful. The location was great, not far from the action but beautifully peaceful

Summary: Julie's property is awesome! We stay for a rainy weekend with some friends and it was great. Since the first enquiry Julie answer really fast to all my doubts make the process of booking really easy. The house is incredible, is split in to places, the main place is a modern and beautiful house, and the second place is set as a bar with pool table! Summary: I can't recommend this place highly enough. We booked both houses for a week over xmas and it exceeded our expectations. 5 minutes from the beach and with a pool also meant we were spoilt for choice. It was relaxing, quiet and peaceful, but you were only 10 minutes drive from Nelson Bay and the surrounding bays/activities if you needed them. The cottage was great and the hosts were friendly and very helpful. We would have no hesitation in going back and look forward to our next visit. Thanks Guy and Julie.
