Positive: Location was perfect for us, rates were good, historic charm and well-maintained with comfortable bedding. Bathroom was modern and toiletries were provided.
Negative: The view from the bedroom window was of the neighboring building wall. I did not find the coffee provided by the hotel as advertised.
Summary: I will stay here again if coming to the city. Parking was safe and convenient.

Positive: The location is the best. I would live in this location if I could. The SW has just gotten better over the years. It is owned by a family that obviously takes pride. It is very clean and perfectly maintained.
Negative: I didn't mind, but the rooms are somewhat small. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in San Francisco. We tried to stay elsewhere a few times, but we always came back.

Positive: The staff are super nice and super healpful. Hotel is quiet, no noise from outside or other rooms, great forsleeping. Room has both air conditioning and heater. Room is always clean. I can tell because i sneeze when im in a room where the carpet is not clean. Hotel entrance have two doors for safety
Negative: The streets have clubs around, but is still generally peaceful.

Positive: This hotel is in a fab location. There were so many options of areas to stay but this is right on the edge of china town and north beach (little Italy) and really walkable to lots of sights such as Fisherman’s wharf, pier 39, Coit tower, union square to name a few. Room was spotless and large, cleaned every day. Great hot shower. One of the best things though is the staff. Special thanks go to Wes and Jen who made us feel so welcome and were incredibly friendly and helpful, with recommendations of places to eat and visit. We would stay here every time we visited, can’t recommend highly enough.

Positive: Way better than I expected! This was the only reasonable-ish hotel I could find when everything else in town was booked. I was worried it was going to be run-down, dirty, maybe infested, in poor repair, etc. I was wrong! While the hotel is clearly somewhat old, it's been cared for _very_ well. The furnishings are in perfect condition. Everything worked great. The A/C was nice when many SF hotels don't have it. I'll probably seek this place out next time I'm in town.
