Positive: We had the holiday of a lifetime at Swarn by Hawks Hotel, due to the beauty and atmosphere on Kamadhoo, the amazing facilities of the hotel, and, most importantly, Swarn’s incredible, friendly and dedicated staff. The rooms are as gorgeous as the photos suggest and the housekeeping team are excellent. Reception is friendly, helpful and informative for any questions or requests, as well as transfers/day trips to and from the island. We enjoyed the food at the hotel, and were pleasantly surprised by the many other options on Kamadhoo if you do wish to dine out. Don’t listen when people say you must go all inclusive at your hotel in Maldives, or else be charged ridiculous prices for food/snacks… perhaps this is true of resort islands, but for Kamadhoo this was not the case (but do remember cash as not everywhere will accept card, and at present there is no ATM on the island). Some special mentions - thank you so much to Rifa for the snorkelling excursions and his time. We were truly well looked after and the quality of his tours were amazing. He and his team took particular care to ensure we went on outings at the right times to encounter marine wildlife we wished to see and his extensive knowledge of marine life and the Maldives was interesting and impressive. Thank you so much to restaurant supervisor Adikari and his restaurant team, who were always friendly, willing to accommodate any requests, and overall provided an excellent standard of service every day - whether it be breakfast, dinner, or room service. Hassan was welcoming and warm, always with a smile and brilliant service. Bikas, too, was attentive, kind and generally they were just superb and really made us feel like valued guests. All in all, this hotel made our August Maldives trip the greatest holiday.

Positive: The hotel is strategically located at the harbour, new facility, new amenities exceptional staff super friendly super helpful in my 30 years of travelling probably the hawks staff is among the best ...shout out to Cindy she is an angel ! Hassan was very helpful at the pool and the food was really good and reasonably priced for maldives.
Negative: Pick the right time to visit the island , I had terrible weather for 5 days . The one thing I could recommend for the hotel to improve is the water pressure in the showers, especially for the higher floors, but it's definitely manageable .

Negative: Breakfast choices are limited and facilities look dated. Better quality food needed for a place that stands out in the island. Could do better maintenance in and around the property

Positive: Nothing compares to Swarn by Hawks on the Kamadhoo island. It’s primary location right by the bay, modern design, highest comfort, top service, all make it an increadibly appealing choice. Our super clean specious penthouse on top floor was a truly luxurious environment, worth every penny, offereing amazing views over entire island and the ocean. From the terrace we could actually see fish entering the bay. Food was delicious, with proper variety, light and simple, yet exotic. We were never prompted to go for additional a la carte choice, as regular offerings were good enough. Beach is close, and it’s what you would expect in Maledives. There were also some optional tours to other locations in nearby atolls. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Many thanks to hotel manager Ramin and his associates Birbal, Bikash, Sarfraz, and Firog. We felt pumpered and taken care off.
Summary: This was by far one of the most memorable luxurious hotel stays ever. Hard to beat.

Positive: It's been amazing. The room was great with amazing views wow. Dedicated staff indeed who all work very hard. Cindy and Rifa ( the dolphin man ☺️) amazing and very friendly people. We learnt a lot from you guys. Hassan very humble and really works hard, the chef makes lovely food indeed, the guy who massages is amazing sorry I forgot names, another lady who is sometimes at reception sometimes serving food and drinks was excellent too, clothes were washed to standard, cleaners were good too. All staff really really amazing and we appreciate yo good service to us. All helping My Prince to plan my surprise engagement 💍, wow 👌. You all work hard nomatter what or when. Always available to help. We didn't want to say goodbye. It was amazing days with you. Everyone was so welcoming 🙏🏻. We never felt lost. And for that would like to say thank you ever so much. The hotel owner and the wife really lovely people who took care of us even after we left., taking us around Maldives, feeding us and all. We enjoyed a lot and we miss the boys 👦

Positive: Considering that the Maldives is highly oriented towards resort experiences it is nice to find an alternative to this which allows you a bit more of a "local" experience. The hotel is located near the harbour though the island is so small that you can walk around it in about twenty minutes. The views from the rooms are exceptional. Admittedly, the ones that don't have a balcony have the view of the ocean. The balcony-ones face the port/town and get quite a bit of sun so these rooms tend to be warmer. We stayed in a non-balcony one for two nights and were then shifted to one with a balcony so got to enjoy both. Breakfast is a simple affair but decent, WIFI is good, services is kind and helpful. We didn't do any tours so can't comment on that but there's definitely lots on offer. The beach is mere minutes walking away. Quiet and beautiful.
Negative: The journey to the island is likely by speedboat (there are also flights but those are quite expensive). On paper it is a two hour journey but it took us three both ways. On the way in there was an issue with the engine, on our return we had to stop a few times to allow passengers to use the toilet. It can be quite a wild journey... If you get sea-sick easily this might be worth considering. Also note that there is no alcohol on the island.
