Nestled on a one-acre property, you'll enjoy private access to your own boat ramp, swim/sun dock, boat dock, and a large screened porch perfect for relaxation or entertainment. Gather around the artisan fire pit and watch the fun unfold while taking in serene 270-degree views of the “Narrows” on Lake Martin. On clear nights, enjoy the fire by the water, unwind, and stargaze. {Please observe quiet hours.}
Inside, this thoughtfully redesigned home blends history with modern comforts. The main living space is one of the original Russell Cabins built around the lake, with multiple additions over the years. The latest 2023 renovation introduced a brand-new kitchen backsplash and upgraded kitchen appliances, enhancing the already well-equipped space for guests who love to cook.
The spacious interior features four bedrooms and three bathrooms on the main level, plus a basement-level sleeping area and separate bedroom, comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests.
One of the best spots in the house? The large screened-in porch overlooking the lake. This inviting space includes a cozy lounging area, a round table perfect for snacks or games, a large TV, and a shuffleboard table that doubles as a large-group dining table. Summary: This is a great spot all late. Martin tucked away in a beautiful slough. Very close to two gas docks. There’s plenty of space for a lot of folks and huge grounds with awesome fire . We brought our own boat and launched it right at the property which has its own boat ramp. This place is set up for entertaining with plenty of things to do like ping-pong and outdoor bar shuffleboard table on the screen porch. And speaker system throughout that is easily into.

Summary: Our family annual trips usually land us somewhere on a beach, I changed it up this year and it was a hit. This house is perfect, clean and well loved. The location could not be better and the water was clean, clear and refreshing. Rent here, stay here and you will not regret it!

Summary: I must say I hate to be honest - because if I am - the place will always be booked and I'll never get to stay here again :) This was far and away the best VRBO that I have ever stayed in. John and Sara have done a wonderful job of making sure you have absolutely everything you need to feel like home - and in surplus - everything was where you would expect it to be - everything was taken care of and we felt comfortable using it - didn't feel like we needed to wash anything - truly felt like I had just come home. Everything looks just like the pictures - tucked out of the way so not too busy - but close to some good boat up bars, restaurants, marina's, gas etc. We stayed for 10 days - and never longed for something to do - Jenga, Cornhole, shuffle board, darts, ping pong, fishing (couple bass & a couple catfish) Of the ten days we spent 7 on the water - backed our 24' Tritoon right down the ramp and just left the truck and trailer sit right there on the drive - super convenient - great u-shaped dock to tie the boat off at night and it was protected from wakes and waves - great swim dock - hit that water every single day from the dock and dried off in the shade of the umbrella mounted to the dock. Coffee in the morning on the screened in porch was amazing - It was a special time for our family - much needed down time and together time - such a beautiful setting. I usually am itching for my own bed/shower/kitchen after a week - I can honestly say I didn't want to leave. 110%

Summary: Mr. Root could not have made us feel more at home. They really did try to think of everyone and everything when setting up this property. Fishing, boating, swimming and fires by the lake are just a couple of the many things we enjoyed during our stay. Will stay again and would recommend.
