Swept Away is a spacious, 1200 sq ft 1 BD/1BA apartment within a small and very private beachfront condominium complex, a mile south of the historic town of Frederiksted and 15 minutes away from St Croix Airport. It sits directly on west-facing Dorsch Beach, considered one of the best beaches in St Croix for its unspoiled natural beauty and glorious sunsets.
Swept Away truly is beachfront! From the lanai, you will overlook the crystal blue waters and a pristine sandy beach that are just a few steps away. These waters feature some of the best snorkeling in St Croix, with frequent sightings of turtles, manta rays, dolphins and parrot fish. Floor-to-ceiling windows in every room create a fresh, open-air feel. A delightful ocean breeze blows almost continuously, carrying the delicious salt air. In the evenings, spectacular sunsets are on display. And at night, you will be lulled asleep by the sound of the waves.
The condo is furnished with 2 queen beds in the air-conditioned bedroom. In addition, there is a full-size sofa bed in the Living Room and a high twin plug-in inflatable mattress. Maximum occupancy is 4 and all guests must be 16 years of age or older. There is a desk, fast internet, a Roku TV in the bedroom for streaming, and Smart TV connected to cable in the living room. No smoking is allowed.
The kitchen is beautifully appointed with mahogany cabinets and solid-surface countertops, and equipped with a full range of cooking utensils, microwave, toaster oven, blender, coffeemaker and Instant-pot. There is a 3-stage water filtration system in the unit, and a UV water filtration system for the condo building.
The bathroom, also furnished in mahogany cabinetry, has a large walk-in shower and two sinks. The unit comes with a private laundry room, where you will have a full-size washer and dryer at your disposal and at no charge.
The intimate 18-unit complex has a large freshwater pool, a covered gazebo with a gas BBQ grill, a dining table and chairs for your outdoor dining pleasure, and a hammock to relax. The complex is very secure, with access only through security gates. There is a nearby property manager if you should need help with the unit, and a live-in onsite caretaker if you should have questions about the complex. Beach chairs, beach towels, and cooler are provided. You will also have a dedicated parking space.
In nearby Frederiksted, with its quaint Danish architecture, you will find several outstanding restaurants and beach bar-cafes. (A detailed list of local attactions is provided in the guest information book.) The dive shop in Frederiksted leads scuba dives, off the Frederiksted pier. And when a cruise ship docks at the pier (which happens frequently), art and craft stalls appear in the main square and the famous Moko Jumbies dance – it’s Carnival time!
Just north of Frederiksted you can take a beach horseback ride with Cruzan Cowgirls. Alternatively, take a drive into the rainforest to visit the beer-drinking pig and eat Cruzan cuisine at the Mt Pellier Domino Club. Why not stop along the way at the historic Lawaetz Museum, a Danish great house from the 1900s? A few minutes south of the complex is the Sandy Point Nature Wildlife Refuge, an expanse of dazzling white beach where turtles come to nest every year. Summary: We loved our stay at this condo. It is very spacious, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and the location was perfect. You have keyless entry and can go from the apartment to snorkeling right in front without worrying about your keys or valuables. The snorkeling is fantastic, the condo is close to Frederiksted for diving operators and some restaurants and you can take a lovely walk on the beach all the way to Sandy Point if you want to.

Summary: The property is clean, well managed, safe, and all of the residents are very nice. The living room and kitchen open up to the balcony. There is air conditioning in tbe bedroom. The beach right in front of the property is wonderfiul for watching the sunset and the beaches down the road were our favorite. The pool area is clean and refreshing. There is a private washer and dryer along with beach gear and snorkels. I highly recommend and hope to be able to go bach!

Summary: This rental exceeded my family’s expectations. The owners have gone above and beyond to make this rental homey. From the furniture, the décor and the “extras” the property was ready to live in and enjoy. The extras included a kitchen pots, pans, dishware, glassware and extra appliances. There were paper towels, tissues, toilet papers, dish soap, and hand soaps available upon entry. Various games, DVDs and a small reading library were stocked. A drying rack provided allowed wet things to dry out overnight. It was great to have beach towels and access to a washer and dryer. This allowed my family to pack lighter and wash clothes mid-week. In addition to the ceiling fans there were multiple tower fans that could be moved around. The AC in the bedroom was most valuable since our trip was in August. The biggest selling point to this property is the location. It is a fenced in property (safety & piece of mind) with ocean front access steps outside the gate. The property’s pool, hammock and glider swing were fun hang out spots. The snorkeling was fantastic. We tried several snorkeling spots. The best was in front of the rented property. The owners are very accommodating and excellent with communication also!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. We did have a rotten neighbor who complained about noise when we weren't making noise -- weird. I think they were just a random renter (like us), so I don't expect that issue in the future. One thing to note about this property: the a/c is only in the bedroom.

Summary: This is our 2nd stay at Harbor Beach Village Condos. Swept Away is one condo in the 18 unit complex. Our condo was beautifully decorated and comfortable furniture. Everything we needed was supplied....kitchenware, bath towels, bedding, beach towels, etc. There was an issue with the snorkeling gear. We made a call to our host and she quickly supplied new gear to our unit!! The view from our unit overlooking the water is some of the prettiest colorswe have ever seen. We saw turtles swimming EVERYDAY!!! We will be returning!!!
