The apartment is right in the center of Levanto,
directly in front of the public park 'Piazza Staglieno' (children's playground) in an antique apartment building in the historic old town. The apartment was completed in mid-August 2009 (complete renovation). It is located on the 1st floor from the park side, but is accessible from a rear entrance without stairs.
It consists of a large bedroom with air conditioning and an extra bed (17sqm), a bathroom with shower that is accessible from both the living room and the bedroom, a large living room with a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, if desired German) , Coffee machine, electric oven and gas stove). The apartment is located on a traffic-calmed street. The sofa is a comfortable (new) sofa bed for 2 people, also satellite TV and DVD player.

Summary: Ursula is a very welcoming host. The location of the flat is ideal to enjoy the beach and the bar/restaurants nearby and is near the station (13 min walk) - perfect to visit the Cinque Terre. The flat itself is really nice and comfortable. World recommend in a heartbeat !

Summary: Spacious appartment with everything you'll need – we had a lovely stay in Levanto! With kids it is a great plus that the (btw great) outdoor playground/park/piazza is just outdoor the appartment. It can get a little louder in the evenings but the thick walls of the building absorb most of the noise outside.

Summary: Ulla is a wonderful host, very welcoming, providing excellent recommendations and responsive. The beautifully renovated apartment is perfectly located for the centre of Levanto, with easy access to the beach, the station and all of the hiking in Cinque Terre.

Summary: It seems amazing to be back at this amazing flat for the 5th time. We stayed a month, only a few days did we have barely a drizzle of rain which quickly dissolved to those beautiful bright blue skies. I’ve posted so many accolades before and it still remains the perfect holiday flat. Let me list the things that make Levanto and this particular flat so perfect. Amazing owner Ulla who is always immediately available if you have a question, location couldn’t be better, walk out the door you will find a bakery, focaccia bake, meat market, small grocery, gelato , fresh pasta store. Levanto has amazing restaurants that serve pizza to delicious pasta and fresh fish. Everything a super short walk. The beach with the ability to rent lounge and umbrella. There are also bars on the beach and wondering massages right by the sea. My husband had manyy hikes to take and flat areas around the town where I could walk easier. Boats or train or hikes to the Ciqueterre. These now have become so crowded you will feel a release to be back for a rest on the comfortable bed or sofa. We love opening the windows and listening to the rhythm of lives of those fortunate to live here. If it bothers you simply close the windows and the sounds are gone. So enough said but we will be back to Ulla’s Sun and Sea flat as soon as possible!

Summary: My wife and I stayed with our 20 month old for a week in early April and it's one of the best Holidays we've had. The apartment is a perfect base for visiting the the Cinque Terre however Levanto itself is a beautiful town and a nice retreat from the busy 5 villages. As we had to get our little one asleep early we cooked for ourselves in the well equipped apartment most evenings. Rather than feeling shut away and missing out on Italian nightlife, we opened the windows and ate our meals to the sound of children and their families enjoying the last few hours of sun in the park outside. It was idyllic. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay however it is worth being aware that the cost of utilities (Gas & Electric) are not included in the rent of the apartment, though this should not deter you from booking. Ursula was a brilliant host providing local knowledge and even picked us up, and offered to give us a lift back to the train station, because of our toddler. It's clear why others gave her such praise in reviews I read before booking.

Summary: Very nice, modern apartment in the heart of town. Just steps from many excellent places to eat and the beach is just across the very active city park. We loved staying in Levanto and visiting the towns of the Cinque Terre from there. It is a short train ride away and much quieter to stay in Levanto. I would come back here again.

Summary: We are Canadian travellers who spent a week in Ulla's apartment as part of our six week travels throughout Italy and Spain. This apartment exceeded our expectations in so many ways but most important was the caring and thoughtful treatment that we received from Ulla. Not only did she spend time with us in the town pointing out shops and restaurants and bike rental locations she was extremely helpful with suggesting train travel from Milan for our friend who was arriving from Canada. The apartment had everything needed for making ones stay most comfortable and was certainly spotless and tidy. Watching the daily hustle and bustle of the town's people in the square and park outside our window provided us with many enjoyable evenings all while sipping some fine Italian wine. We enjoyed our bike ride and walks along the ocean bike trail to Bonassola (a good spot for a cappuccino). Hiking from Levanto to Monterosso is spectacular and you can continue on to Vernazza if you wish. A hiking trail from behind the hospital also leads to beautiful scenery and a less busy trail. This is definitely the place to stay as a base for visiting the Cinque Terre towns which can be overly busy with tourists. We hope to return to Levanto and stay at Ulla's apartment in the near future. We have also recommended this location to friends interested in travelling to this area.
