Positive: We had an amazing stay at Isabelle and Garry's place. They are both the most friendly hosts imaginable with lots of tips and knowledge about county Clare. The Sycamore Lodge itself is beautiful with all necessary amenities. It lies surrounded by nice greenery so it feels secluded while being only a 5 minute drive away from Kilkee. Meeting Otis, their kind and well mannered dog, was a nice added bonus.

Positive: A wonderful place for us to stay as we travel on the Wild Atlantic Way - beautifully clean and stylish with everything you could possibly need . Isabelle was a perfect host and offered lots of options about where to visit and places to eat - breakfast was delicious too. We would highly recommend Sycamore Lodge

Positive: The hosts Isabelle and Gary are truly lovely people and we loved chatting to them and meeting their beautiful new baby and friendly dog Otis. We felt very welcome and much appreciated a welcome cup of tea and carrot cake on arrival after cycling a long way to get there. They even offered a lift to town for dinner which was a lovely touch. The property is charming with a lovely garden. Importantly the shower was warm worked great. The breakfast is great - they went to a lot of trouble. They even packed us up some food for lunch before we checked out. Very highly recommended!

Positive: … it stands out from the crowd! Curb appeal 10/10. Aesthetics - highly maintained and front garden that makes u feel secluded but in close proximity to Kilkee and Kilrush. One can tell a great about lot love and care has gone into making this property somewhere u want to stay!

Negative: … that I couldn’t be there 6 months of the year :-) there is nothing to dislike about this property - City standards in rural Ireland ! Perfect.

Negative: It is 2-3km outside kilkee so you need a car. Isabella and Gary kindly offer to drop and pick you up if necessary. They have just taken over the running of the house and are in the process of making changes

Positive: Isabelle and Garry were the best hosts, making us feel so welcome in their beautiful lodge. From welcome barista style coffee and carrot cake to chats in the evening by a gorgeous open fire. They bent over backwards for us, offering lifts in and out to Kilkee, meeting our dietary needs for breakfast and fulfilling our strange requests for a seaweed bath!! We really loved staying here and cannot wait to visit again.
