This house is truly a remarkable work of art. It was built to resemble an old stone barn and does so beautifully.
On the bottom floor there are two bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed while the other has a queen. There is a study just outside the master bedroom. Upstairs you will find a magnificent Great Room. At the one end there is a seating area in front of a gorgeous stone fireplace. At the other end you can sit and take in the Aran Islands, Galway Bay and breathtaking sunsets through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
In the center of the room, there is a kitchen area with an antique table. Also, hidden behind the fireplace, there is a powder room. The entire house has under floor heating which is truly decadent in the cool Irish countryside.
For those of you who wish to leave the house you will find abundant entertainment. There is a gorgeous sand beach just down the road. For the golfers in your group there is a world-class golf course just a few towns over in Lahinch. Also in Lahinch you will find some of the country's best surfing. Fanore is not as renowned for its surfing but does have a surf school every summer. And for those of you music lovers, Doolin is just one town over and is renowned for its traditional Irish music.
In addition Doolin has many incredible restaurants and pubs. And if you need to get out of the countryside and into a city, Galway is just an hour away. Itโs a wonderful city. Despite its small size you can find most anything you need there. If youโre looking for a great bottle of Irish Whiskey or an unusual bottle of wine, go to The Vineyard then stop by Sheridanโs Cheesemongers where you will find an amazing selection of cheese from around the world. But for those who wish to explore Fanore, you will find gorgeous scenic walks and some of the best angling in the country. And if you want to see things from s different angle, go horseback riding. Youโll love it.
The house is just up the road from O'Donohue's Pub and a small grocery shop. Both of them are within walking distance.
