Positive: A stunning hidden gem. Based in the town of Qala, our host and the home owner both came in. Edyth was so thoughtful, we had water set up when we arrived and she dropped off some extra toilet roll. The owner popped in every morning to service the pool and even brought us some fresh lettuce and tomatoes from his farm. A lovely man who’s a native to Gozo, the farmhouse was his aunts old home and he knows a little something about just about anything. Would also suggest getting in touch ahead if you want to rent a car as he does that too and it’s a lot better rates than the cars at the airport (top tip for when we go again). The rooms all have AC which was a god send. There were towels and sheets provided plus a washing machine, there was a tv too but tbh we didn’t use it. The pool was lovely, just to go in and out during the day. One of our party is disabled and blind and he loved being in the pool, it was great to be able to get him in the water each day as he so rarely has the chance in a big shared pool. There’s so much to see and do on Gozo. Would highly recommend going to one of the festas. The lights, the music and the welcome from everyone was amazing. The food was fab everywhere we went but definitely recommend d-bar which is a 5 minute walk. Natalie and her family run a beautiful place, a bit pricey but the foods authentic Maltese with fresh caught fish and pasta dishes. The breakfast for 9 euros is also a good shout if you’re an early riser. You can get to the blue lagoon on any of the many boat charters, advice is to go to the port as you’ll get a good deal from the 20 different boat reps. Would recommend going early in the morning or around 16:00 if you want to miss the crowds. The ferry between Malta and Gozo is 24 hours and easy to hop on. I suppose what I’m saying is it was an amazing trip. We were a group of 7, teenagers and 4 adults, 1 of our party was handicapped. There was something for everyone, would recommend 100%. We will definitely be back.

Negative: Everything was amazing, the only small thing was the kitchen was quite basic. Only one big pot. The gas bbq was also in a really poor state, we did see there was an authentic stone bbq that was out of use which was a shame, given the heat, cooking outside would have been good. Limited cookware and very small glasses, not a big issue in the scheme of things.
