Positive: Quaint and quirky house, the lake and being able to use the boat, garden was lovely and location ideal for what we wanted to do. Wild swimming, WiFi good and shower downstairs was good. Bedding and towels were good quality. We had a lovely break and no TV wasn’t an issue for us but needs to be made clearer on the description.
Negative: We felt that the description on Booking.com wasn’t accurate. The pictures show bright airy rooms, we knew it was an old cottage but it was very dark in all rooms downstairs. Parking - there isn’t a space at the property, it is across the road on a muddy verge on the bend of a busy road. We parked on what we thought was a space on the drive and were asked by the owner to move. I should imagine they get pretty fed up with this. In my opinion it needs to be made very clear. Carrying luggage and having to park there was not what we expected. Pub a short walk - it was but on a very busy road, we used the woodland walk but be honest and let people know as not everyone likes to walk in the woods, especially at night. Second bathroom - this is a shower and toilet with a metal sink in the utility room. It’s not a second bathroom. Layout of upstairs- you have to access the bathroom and second double bedroom via the single room. This wasn’t described on Booking.com our friends teenage daughter was using the single so her privacy would be interrupted, so we didn’t use that bathroom. Again be honest. Rugs at the top of the stairs need a gripper, we all slipped on the carpet once then learnt to be more careful. The walls were very thin, one bedroom just had wooden boards with holes in so you could see into the next room. My husband had to put his pillow up against one hole, again no privacy, previous old houses I have stayed in have had thick walls. No starter pack for the fire and only one already used loo roll in the bathroom and shower room. Equipment in the kitchen a bit all over the place and some needs replacing. Grease marks on the cooker and some areas that needed a good dust.
Summary: Quaint home in nice area but some inaccuracies about the house.

Positive: The location was good
Negative: The shower could have been better. It kept flooding and would not drain properly. It kept having to be stopped so it would drain away. Also the floors and stairs were too slippy. They were dangerous to walk on. Too highly polished.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay but the above did spoil it for us

Positive: It was on the perfect location. Peace and quiet. Really enjoyed.
Negative: No comments however if there is a facilities of TV, washing machine and a drying machine it would be great.
Summary: Very pleaseant stay. Really enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to stay there again in the future.
