This is a beautiful family home in one of Takapuna's best streets. Warm and
sunny with indoor/outdoor flow on all levels, and close-up views from the
kitchen, lounge/dining and top floor bedroom.
The position is central to everything Takapuna has to offer, from its world
class cafes, bars and restaurants, movies, theatre, shopping malls to its safe
and clean sandy beach and even surf on the reef in a big NE swell.
The separate kitchen is well equipped with European appliances, including
a bench-top grill and deep fryer, large fridge/freezer with cold water and ice
maker.
Ample off street parking.
Small private fully fenced tropical garden off the three down-stairs bedrooms
with outdoor furniture and bar-b-q also on the lower level. Spa pool is available for use over the winter months but will be switched off in summer. Please note that our spa pool cover does not have functioning clips and so cannot be locked.
It's the perfect beach house for a summer holiday where you can swim, walk
along the beach to the famous beachfront cafe, or along the road to numerous
other cafes, restaurants, movies and shopping.
And, just 3 minutes drive from Auckland's main North/south motorway, and
five minutes walk to main bus station in Lake Rd. Take the harbour bridge to
downtown Auckland City in ten minutes,

Summary: I spent 2 nights with my family after a long flight from the United States. This home was perfect. Close to the beach for peaceful walks. Walking distance to great food. The hosts were responsive. The hot tub was perfect for achy muscles. I wish we stayed longer!

Summary: The town of Takapuna is a fun area to stay in because of all the restaurants and shops within walking distance plus only a 10 to 15 minute drive to downtown Auckland. And this home is located in a great spot to be able to walk less than a block to be on the beach or 2 blocks to be at the restaurants and shops. Owners were very responsive and good to work with during our stay.

Summary: The home was very nice , plenty of room, great backyard, fully equipped and just as described. Working with the owners was easy and pleasant. Plenty of space to park. The best part is the location. Great neighborhood, easy walk to the beach and town with great restaurants. Short easy drive to CBD Auckland or a quick ferry ride. Looking forward to coming back!

Summary: We enjoyed staying at this large beach house. There was plenty of room for the four of us to spread out and relax. The views were amazing and the beach was just steps away. Lots of nice restaurants nearby, including grocery stores in walking distance. Short trip into the city center as well. We had a great stay!

Summary: Overall the accomadation suited us perfectly. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us and every amenity we needed. This is a beautiful family home with a relaxed vibe that added to the comfortable feel. Some of the appliances in the kitchen were a little worn, but as there are so many restaurants/ shops/ cafes in walking distance this was never a problem. The short walk to the beach is a definite bonus.

Summary: I would probably say this sleep 5 comfortably. There were 8 of us and we ended up buying two camp beds to sleep us just given the bedding situation. The upstairs couch bed is pretty firm so I would suggest taking another foam mattress for that also. Lovely place though and a lovely spot that was within walking distance to the Bruce Mason Centre and Takapuna shops.
