Positive: Howard gave us the *best* welcome and we immediately felt at home in our blue chalet which had a bathroom and verandah. All the reviews are correct about the breakfasts too,! We had a scooter and could explore local beaches; Howard told us the good snorkelling spots. There are some great local places to eat but do check when they are open There is a museum and a nature trail and a paddy field view none of which should be missed.

Positive: Amazing experience of the jungle and feeling immersed in nature. Your stay is in a rungus hut or long house and the nature is amazing. Howard and family are accommodating and very nice and can take you to and from the beach once a day the beach. Composting toilet works great!
Negative: You do get attacked by mosquitoes everywhere except for in the bed with the mosquito net. I think Booking incorrectly lists there is WiFi on the property, there is none, just make sure you have data. The shower is an outdoor shower.
Summary: Stay for those looking for basic stay but immersed in nature and culture.

Positive: Great jungle experience. We stayed in a very basic hut (mattress, fan and mosquito net), but knew what we were expecting
Negative: Having your own vehicle is recommended. Howard was great though and shuttled us around.

Positive: Howard is a very lovely host and interesting to talk to. His transformation of the jungle, and the preservation of the local cuture is impressive and admirable. The chalets had a lovely character to them. Howard made cracking eggs on toast for breakfast. Tip of Borneo just down the road, beaches are lovely.
Negative: We were unlucky to have heavy rain which was very loud on the corregated roof, keeping us up at night. The bed was very hard. We were also unfortunate to have hornets in the room and giant ants all over our clothes in the suitcase in the morning. Expect jungle living at it's wildest!

Positive: The owner Howard is very helpful indeed, a fountain of knowledge and pillar of the local community. He appears to have worked so hard on building this admirable project village where children learn about plants and animals in the jungle there. Great chalets.
Negative: Not much. Shower was so so
