Positive: Beautiful, lush property with many fruit trees, birds, howler monkeys (close enough to hear), interesting nighttime sounds and more. Real jungle immersion with a touch of luxury. Gwendal and Negar are warm, caring, attentive hosts with three friendly dogs. The rooms & property are impeccably maintained with beautiful woodwork and tile. It is a very safe space with a wonderful river to wade in and nearby local restaurants, birdwatching and the Corcovado National Park. The volunteers and other guests were also very friendly.
Summary: Jungle immmersion with a touch of luxury.

The room was simple and clean, but what makes this place exceptional is the atmosphere and the people it attracts. The common areas are stunning: a peaceful yoga shala, a well-equipped shared kitchen with a large communal table that fosters great conversations, and direct access to the river for a refreshing dip. The location is unbeatable. You’re essentially in Corcovado, with private trails at Bolita just a short walk away, leading to breathtaking waterfalls. Dos Brazos is a tiny, off-the-beaten-path community, and the immersion in nature here is unparalleled. Getting there was easy thanks to the clear guidance from the hosts—colectivo works well, but if you have a car, that’s even simpler. Beyond the beauty of the space, what truly sets Templo del Tiger apart is the passion and dedication of Negar and Gwendal. They are more than just hosts; they are teachers, visionaries, and stewards of this magical place. The work they’ve put into transforming the land, including a thriving food forest, is inspiring. Their warmth and knowledge create a welcoming, deeply enriching environment. I can't recommend this place enough—if you’re looking for a unique, nature-immersed stay with incredible people, this is it.

Positive: Waking up with the sound of birds, monkeys and insects at sunrise - at this place you will surely tune into the natural rhythm. Big highlights are the super kind owners and their dogs, the refreshing river to bathe in just outside the land, the huge diversity of animals you will encounter every day, the permaculture garden and the countless amazing hikes through the jungle in this area. This place is full of energy and positive vibes!

Positive: Such an amazing place, clean, tidy and well kept, surrounded by intense spectacular jungle and wildlife. The most beautiful river a few hundred feet away from the property is perfect for cooling off in and enjoying a revitalising start to the day. There are so many places to see in the surrounding area, with a choice of walks that can test and experienced hiker or let you take in the breathtaking surroundings at a mellow pace. The rooms are super clean and allow you to feel surrounded by the jungle yet give you large, uncluttered and clean personal space. I was made to feel so welcome by the staff and volunteers. The two owners were so interesting, genuine and kind, they really care about your experience, Both of them were so helpful and arranged trips and excursions from Dos Bravos (the town) as well as imparting their experiences of places in the country. Honestly I'm still blown away by my time at Templo Del Tigre, the rich jungle, sunny weather with the occasional tropical down pour, the wildlife, jungle sounds, gold miners and such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay and experience one of the most bio diverse places on the planet. Could not recommend this place more highly.

Positive: Staying at Templo del Tigre was the best experience I could ask for - a home away from home. The hosts, Negar & Gwendal, made us feel valued, welcomed, and cared for. The land is beautiful with a clean river and many fruit trees and big gardens, and eco features like bamboo structures like compost toilets. The energy on the land is good and peaceful. Stay here if you want to feel good inside!!

Positive: This place was fantastic. The vibe was so peaceful from the sound of the river adjacent to the property to the yoga deck for doing yoga or hanging out in a hammock. The location in Dos Brazos is a little off the beaten path, but a great sleepy little village with access to great hiking trails and Rio Tigre. Can’t recommend enough!

Positive: The place is very unique and once can feel the love and care with which it has been built and maintained over the last years. The fruit garden is rich and diverse and the owner is passionate about sharing knowledge about it. The communal kitchen is very well equipped.The bathroom facilities are shaped in beautiful wood and stone material. The bedrooms are equally beautiful and clean. There is a large platform where you can do yoga or relax as well as a lush river just behind the house to bath in. The owners and their three friendly dogs make you feel at home that you don’t want to leave.
