Negative: I want to provide CONSTRUCTIVE criticism in the hope that the service for this apartment is improved. I am now a regular visitor to this part of Brisbane and anticipate needing a regular apartment to rent and this apartment is otherwise perfect, but I will only rent it again if things are improved. Check in instructions were highly inadequate, especially to someone who does not know these buildings in Brisbane. How to locate the keys down an alleyway should have been explained better (i.e. "look for an alleyway and keys are in a lockbox to your left hand said about 20 meters down the alleyway". Then please tell people who have no idea about this area of Brisbane that The Cannery consists of TWO BUILDINGS and that the actual apartment is in the second building furtherest away from the key pickup location and also mention the GATE LETTER (instead of just saying "navigate your way to The Cannery". Terrible instructions to be honest. Also tell people that you need your apartment keys to exit the carpark too so they don't drop them off first. Just simple stuff to make it easier for people using the apartment for the first time. THE DOUBLE BED! I can't remember the last time when the bed provided in an apartment like this is a DOUBLE BED, and an extremely old and uncomfortable mattress on that double bed. If you are going to charge a price of over $300 a night, people will rightly expect at least a queen bed that is comfortable and does not have a saggy mattress that pushes both people into the middle of the bed. It needs to be changed.
Summary: Great 2 night stay apart from check in instructions & double bed with saggy mattress. Top location.

Positive: The location is perfect for Tenerife, Newstead and New Farm, F Valley is within walking distance and choices of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars very near. The City cat and bus stop are just around the corner. The building is fairly nice and feels safe - people were friendly.
Negative: The apartment was clean but tired we stayed for 10 nights and found the bed was too small for two people and the mattress bedding and towels were uncomfortable and very poor quality, two small thin towels were not sufficient especially as the washing machine was not working properly. If you need to stay more than a couple of nights I would recommend booking elsewhere.
Summary: Great location & apartment okay for a couple of nights.

Positive: very familiar with the area. easy to access location from car park. quiet when the balcony door was closed.
Negative: due to the rain the balcony shared garden was full of water. someone had used it as an ash tray as there were many floating cigarette butts and trash in it. I had noticed that many of these were being replaced by the BC. a queen bed would have been great, but a double was ok for a single traveller, probably not ideal for a couple or tall person.
Summary: very comfortable living space. close to everything I needed. would stay again.
