The Space:
360 Views! Private Retreat just a literal stones throw from George Washington National Forest and a short drive to Shenandoah National Park!
Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Other Things to Note:
Enjoy the amazing 360 views. Thank you for using only the fire-pit area for small safe fires. Thank you for ensuring the natural wonder that is this property is preserved for the future. The property extends with the fences and up the hills to the massively tall pine. Do enjoy walking about! Enjoy the firewood for use at the site. Remove trash bag and loo bag, replace with clean bags which you will find under your trash bag.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.
If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Summary: Beautiful views in the morning, perfect for stargazing in the night. My girlfriend and i had a wonderful time here. Could be a bit cold in the winter, make sure you bring enough firewood. James was super helpful and provided with right the directions to get there!

Summary: What you see is what you get. It was a little tricky getting to the actual space since the GPS loses signal and it will take you a few hundred feet further than where it actually is. But overall we enjoyed our stay. The tent was super clean, had a toilet, raised cot bog enough for 2, and a jug of water. The views were amazing, and the firepit with the Adirondack chairs, s'mores materials, and cookware was a nice touch. The dogs enjoyed the nice open space as well. Overall and excellent experience and would stay again.

Summary: How could you not like this place!!! Beautiful! Comfy tent! Not as secluded as you would think. You are actually quite surrounded by houses and people driving up and down the driveway. Which is unfortunate especially when having to use the restroom. Also do not follow the address that is on the listing. It bring you to a church 5 min in the wrong direction. Which stinks when you have no cell service.

Summary: We loved it. We fit a family of four in this tent. It was December and quite cold even with the stove which we had to feed frequently throughout the night. But people camp in the cold all the time and it was just part of the adventure. If we had been more experienced with stoves we probably would have fared even better so I'm not discounting user error here. :) The real selling point is that the hiking, the views, and the surrounding farms were so unique and picturesque. The views are even better irl than in the listing! However, it should be noted that while you are certainly in the middle of nowhere, this is not a wooded campsite. You're out in a field on the side of a mountain with farmsteads and farmland throughout the foothills. It feels very private though, because the campsite itself sits in a bowl, and you have no real neighbors closer than a quarter mile in any direction, except for the cows during the day and the owls at night. Picnic table, firepit, and adirondack chairs provided are perfect. We didn't use the toilet (because we had our own similar contraption - coming from a long road trip) but it seems like it would do the job. Highly recommended for an adventurous couple looking for a one-of-a-kind experience. Will look for more Tentrrs in the future!

Summary: I booked a stay for my daughter’s 13th birthday, as it was close to the Luray caverns, and seeing as its November, the real bed and wood stove were big perks. The property was absolutely beautiful and felt very private, everything was clean and well taken care of, and our host gave us full privacy. Definitely map out your destinations beforehand as there’s little to no cell reception or internet access. We enjoyed our stay very much and will certainly recommend!
