Villa Mary, part of the large family estate of Tenuta Santa Cristina, is situated in the heart of the enchanting Sabina Region. 50 km north-east of Rome and untouched by mass tourism, this territory is still authentic and unspoilt. Its landscape of gentle hills, is scattered with Roman villas, medieval castles, churches and abbeys.
The villa is immersed in its own private garden with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, where a notable red wine is produced as well as a formidable extra virgin olive oil.
Villa Mary has a private swimming pool (12 x 5 m/deep; 1,20-1,40 m/depth), located within its own garden which has beautiful views of the estate. The villa has a huge private garden with a pergola and a barbeque area. The patio, with wooden table and chairs seating 8 people, is perfect for al fresco dining.
Available free of charge to our guests, there are a beautiful tennis court and five-a-side football pitch with artificial turf, a table tennis and basketball hoop.

Villa Mary is nestled amongst the rolling undulating hills of the Lathium, land of the Etruscans, the Ancient Romans and many Popes. The property enjoys a fine position overlooking its very own vineyard and the surrounding countryside of Lathium and Tuscany. Rome awaits you just to the south (72 km-45M) with its enormous historical and cultural heritage revealing archaeological sites, splendid renaissance and baroque palaces and of course the Vatican City, Sovereign Seat of the Pope and home to the largest collection of art and antiquities in the world.
The world of Etruscans is also nearby to the west at Viterbo(50 km-31M), Vulci(100 km-62M), Cerveteri and Tuscania (70 km-43M) with its interesting Etruscan tombs, One may also embark on a pilgrimage tracing the footsteps of St.Francis of Assisi which starts at Rieti (51 km-31M). The magnificent Florence is at 210 km (131M).

Summary: We (two families, four adults and four kids) loved Villa Mary a lot! Everything was well taken care of, the kitchen was well equipped and the pool was absolutely amazing. The beds and towels were changed after one week, so no need for us to wash towels ourselves. Contact with the property manager Mrs Daniela was very well and fast. She responded fast and solved the few issues we had immediately. Location is very nearby a fabulous Italian restaurant (walking distance)! The road besides the house is a minor downside: people drive FAST there. The garden is well closed off so the road is not a safety issue, more a noise issue. In total we had a fantastic stay at villa mary and really got to relax and enjoy Italy.

Summary: We wanted a place no too far from Rome , quiet , in which to stay off season , for a week with gran children The weather was fine , sunny but not too hot The place is clean , well maintained and a basket of wine , oil coffee , biscuits was a very nice touch. The book gave us very useful addresses of delicious Italian food shops and takeaways. It also listed nearby places to visit The rooms are just right, comfortable and spacious. The pool is great The garden big enough for the children to play , yet remain within reach And the countryside is marvellously quiet , with sometimes a distant engine noise to remind us we are in 2018... We will definitely come back for a relaxed leisurely vacation The children were desperate when we packed to leave

Summary: I had already stayed in the area before and loved it. We wanted to take a holiday away from the busy season , but still with nice weather and warmth. Being close to Rome , villa Mary was a perfect choice. The lace was perfect when we arrived. the nice touch being the bottles of wine and olive oil and freshly grinned coffee. The rooms are very comfortable and the countryside is very quiet , especially at night. The swimming pool was very nice. In the house book , we found nice shops , places that serve delicious Italian food ( also takeaway) and places to visit. It was a leisurely vacation , with young children We were delighted & will definitely come back

Summary: We have been here 12 days with 2 families. Really a perfect house with wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. Beautiful location with a beautiful view of the mountains. Just one thing: there are 3 bathrooms but just one shower. But this could not bother us.

Summary: Laurentia is a friendly host and quick to respond. The house is ideal for two families or a big group of friends. Away from the fast pace of life. If you want to wind down and chill out, this is the place. Few shops or bars in and around but a great pizzeria, local store and basic supermarket in the town. Traditional house which is clean. Oh, and bring lots of mosquito repellent.
