Positive: Extremely well equipped. Private onsen is a must try.

Negative: A step in the family area is a bit awkward for small kids and elderly. The outdoor onsen should have been the open area without any fence. It would be perfect.

Positive: Perfect view from the pool villa!

Negative: More hangers would be appreciated. There was almost no place to hang the washed clothes or swim suits. The lights in the hallway cannot be turned off and hence my family sleeping in the tatami room and sofa bed had to sleep in bright light. Would be nice if the host can fix it.

Positive: The pool and indoor onsen, with the view of the yufuin valley, were awesome. The kitchen and bathroom were modern and stylish. The mattresses were comfy. Check in was easy. The place was ready for us when we entered.

Negative: They gave us 2 pillows and 2 towels total for our stay which was inadequate. It didn't seem that easy to ask for more, so we managed.

Positive: We loved our stay at Terra Yufuin. The property is stunning. The patio looks out over a valley that includes the town of Yufuin. We spent new years eve relaxing in the pool, taking in the sights and having a wonderful nabe dinner. The house had all that we needed for meals. We had a small issue with the pool not being filled but owners immediately responded and sent staff to fix the issue. The owners were also very helpful in arranging transportation for us since we didn't have a car. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience Yufuin but have some privacy away from the town center.

Negative: I can't think of anything.

Summary: One of my favorite places to stay in Japan.
