Summary: We’ve stayed at many 5* rental properties but this home far exceeded our expectations. Wish we could give it 10*. This historic home is beautifully decorated with many extras such as a large modern, fully equipped, gourmet kitchen, a library, and 3 different outdoor patios with a large gas powered BBQ grill. Beautiful views of Lake Ontario, nearby walking trails through the 1812 battle field and very close to museums, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the Sunday concert in the park that is within easy walking distance. Highly recommend The Candlelight Guest House!

Summary: This place was amazing. They thought of absolutely everything. I have never seen so many amenities at a rental property. They had wine, snacks, water, pop, fresh bakery items and even yogurt in the refrigerator! We were all blown away. Easy walk downtown to some shops and good restaurants. Would love to come back. The only complaint was the weather since it didn't allow us to enjoy the beautiful outdoor patios and gardens. These people obviously take a lot of pride in their home. Thanks for sharing with us!

Summary: This beautiful home is convenient to everything in the 1000 Islands Region. About a block from the river, it borders on a battlefield memorial park which provides an interesting space to walk & learn. There are so many fascinating items, and convenient touches in& out of the house. The hosts were amazing with special treats & very quick communication! We All Loved It!!!

Summary: Rob goes above and beyond to make this historic home welcoming and comfortable. It has everything you need and more. We loved the peace and quiet sitting out on the private patio in the evening. We did not expect to have snacks and beverages provided in the house for us. The home was spotless and so comfortable. We highly recommend Candlelight Guest House!

Summary: This property is better than the photo in the listing! The owner Rob and manager Carol are very accessible and responsive. The multiple patios are well furnished with ample room to relax. The back patio is setup for outdoor eating and has a nice view of Lake Ontario. All 4 bedrooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is nicely supplied and the outdoor grill was very clean and easy to use. So all 4 men really enjoyed our stay in Sackets Harbor...

Summary: Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home. It was just as described, exceptionally well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed (and more). The kitchen was even set up with a collection of food and beverage items to get us going and enjoy throughout our stay. Combined with five straight days of absolutely perfect weather we will long remember relaxing on the patio areas enjoying the view and dramatic sunsets. There were great restaurants a short walk away, Watertown Shopping was a 10 minute drive away, and there were a variety of communities nearby that made for enjoyable day time excursions by car or bicycle. Traffic was light and easy. A perfect house, in an ideal location, for a quiet, relaxing, stress free vacation.

Summary: Absolutely wonderful, clean, and very gracious on supplies to get you through your visit. Beautiful home, quiet and close to the water. So many tables outside to relax and enjoy all the lovely views. You definitely don’t want to pass this place over.

Summary: This property is phenomenal, the location is quiet with easy walkable access to historic sites and the quant downtown. Additionally, this location borders a pleasant historic park setting on the shoreline that offers walking trails and water views. The amount of work, effort and attention to detail put into this property by the owners is noticeable. Upon arrival the home was cool and comfortable, there was plenty of water and fresh fruit in the kitchen area. The kitchen is well appointed, bathrooms are spotless and the bedrooms are comfortable and restful. We totaled six family members. The large kitchen accommodated all of us as did the dining area for breakfast and dinner. This sitting room was a wonderful evening gathering conversation area and the accoutrements throughout the house offered many conversation starters and much to ponder. This property provided us a with very pleasant and memorable family retreat. We are very pleased.

Summary: Beauty in every corner of the property which made us enjoy being together even more. One son from California and the other from Vermont caught up on what has been happening this past year. Joined my extended family in Henderson on Saturday (42 in all) for the annual reunion. The groceries provided by the host reduced our trips to the store and made us feel welcome. A perfect experience all around.
