Summary: As others have said, finding the keys was an adventure but once we got in things were good. It is a great location and a nice big space.

Summary: Pros • ideal location in Smithfield Market....2 mins walk to the tram....5 mins to the River Liffey • very clean and well laid out...spacious • great restaurants and a fully stocked market within a1 min walk. Cons • check in is in a word....weird. First the owner sent an email with a treasure hunt set of directions that includes finding the key in a lockbox that itself is attached to a municipal directional sign post, along with 6 other lock boxes and a variety of bikes. You have to wrestle with the bikes to get access to the lock boxes and hope you pick the right lock box....with rain coming down....not a good start. Once you have the key in hand you have to find the door to the correct building....another 10 mins in the rain. Once you finally get inside the apt, you get the parking lot gate opener, and watch a you tube video on how to find and enter the garage. Some may find this whole exercise enjoyable....we didn't. •the clothes washer-dtyer sounds like a locomotive running thru the living room....needs to be replaced. This place is exceptional once you're in....I get the sense the owner has a busy life and is trying to manage this unit entirety remotely.....not always a good plan in the hospitality biz....especially if clients need assistance. Fortunately, we didn't

Summary: I read the reviews on VRBO and their site 1RoomNow.com. I should not have booked this place. Same issues, years later. 1RoomNow rents hostels. They treat this “luxury” property the same way. I’m not 18. This is an expensive nightly rate. They have no clue there is a difference. 1) You are required to leave the VRBO platform to their own 1RoomNow platform to pay. Red flag. 2) We arrived on a Saturday. We received no check-in instructions as of that morning. I sent an e-mail from my phone. They responded within an hour later on our way from the airport. 3) For security reasons, I don’t want to get too detailed on the check-in process. Finding the lock box was like a scavenger hunt (took 20 minutes). The lock box description was wrong so we had to try every lock box before finding the right one (another 10 minutes) not knowing if the code was wrong or if it was the wrong lock box. 4) The building is within a cluster of buildings. Some addressed with an 8 x 10 paper. Some are not addressed at all. This building was not. They don’t explain the location of the building. 5) The entrance to the building is in an obscure location - which they don’t explain either (another 20 minutes to find the building/door - nearly 1 hour total). 6) Once we finally found the flat and got entry, we needed to access e-mails right away on my laptop since I needed to work. They gave us the wrong user name and password. Internet service was an amenity that was to be provided. Using my phone incurred international fees and is not high speed (which I needed). 7) I sent them an e-mail from my phone asking if perhaps they confused the check-in, lock box and internet access information since everything so far was a disaster. No response. 8) We ended up getting a hotel room while awaiting a response because I needed to work off my laptop. Five days later, no response. I sent another e-mail advising we were checking out. And, that we required a refund since we never stayed there. Now they responded. 9) Several days went buy (after following up again) before I finally got a response. They informed me they would give a partial refund only because they were able to re-rent it. 10) Regarding cleanliness, it was fine. The bathroom shower tile grout had black mold. And they left the mop and brooms out on the balcony with the umbrella lying on the ground - just weird. Summary: There is no love or genuine care. This is a turn and burn. Avoid.

Summary: Very nice flat, good location, plenty of places to eat right underneath you; a few bars as well for drinks. The Jameson tour is a stone's throw away from the flat. Most of the sites, including Temple Bar and Christ Church, 15 minutes or so walk. Flat was really clean and modern. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars was because of communication; there is a big breakdown somewhere. When i booked the flat in January, I received approximately 6 emails from them, over the course of 24 hours, from approximately 3 different email addresses. Fast forward to 48-72 hours out from checking in, I had not received any check-in instructions or the address. I made a phone call 2 days prior, got ahold of a gentlemen who confirmed my reservation and told me he would figure out the disconnect and get it all emailed to me. The next day, by noon, I received nothing. Tried to call him again, no answer. So here my family and I are, 24 hours out from checking in, and i have nothing. So it took me calling HomeAway to get ahold of someone, and eventually the instructions and address. The lady on the phone, property manager i assume, said to email them so they could email me the instructions. What?! They acted like they did not have my email address. However, the same email she sent me the instructions from, was one of the email addresses who i had received communication from back in January when i initially booked it. So, they had my email. Not my problem if HomeAway doesnt display/feed something to you correctly, thats your problem to figure out; im the customer, not the property manager. Never once received a phone call from them either stating they were having issues finding my email (which is a load of you know what). Make sure you watch the videos they send you in their email, or else you may have a hard time finding the lockbox, the flat itself or operating the tv/stove/hot water. And anytime water is used in the flat, whether it be the sink, shower, or flush of the toilet, hot or cold, if you are in the master bedroom (with the on suite bathroom), it will be super noisy for a while, as the water heater and/or valves appear to all be located in one of the master closets. And it wasnt just hot water usage. When anyone flushed a toilet, in either bathroom, its loud in the master. Like i said, nice, clean, modern flat, but communication needs lots of work and so does the water noise.

Summary: After a comical attempt to locate the keys lock box, we finally gained access to the apartment and were not disappointed! The unit is exactly as shown and suited the needs of the 6 of us. Lots of space. Wished we were staying longer. Thank you Colin for your patience during the hunt for the keys! Maybe reference the bike stand in the directions! Great place to stay and on my recommended list for others.
