Summary: We chose this house for a short getaway with the family for my Dad's 80th (7 adults, 1 child). The property was huge and the house was spacious. The large kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The house was tastefully decorated for the period. It had a fabulous long dining table, which was fantastic for family dinners. We loved sitting on the comfy couches in the sunroom to enjoy the winter sun. A great selection of games and books. My 4-year old niece loved running around in the grounds chasing the magpies. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets for the cold winter nights. There is a bit of maintenance that needs to be done on the grounds and gardens, but overall a great place to stay. The only thing I will fault is that we didn't have any overhead lighting during our stay. We were advised there was a power issue before our stay, but it would have been nice to have this fixed before we arrived, given we had elderly family members with us. There were plenty of table lamps, so we made use of those, and I'm sure the owners will have fixed it before the next guests stay. Overall, a great stay and my Dad loved the house and his birthday getaway with the family.
