Old newly restored building on private land, 4/6 people. On the ground floor room of 40 m2 including kitchen, dining area and living room with toilet / sink. Upstairs 2 bedrooms with 1 bed 160 and 2 beds of 100/110 cm, bathroom and separate toilet. There is also a large terrace surrounded by grass and a parking lot.
The cottage is equipped with: oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, washer dryer, vacuum cleaner, wood-burning fireplace, TV with DVD / Blue Ray player, radio CD player, living room garden with umbrella, barbecue, deck chairs.
Underfloor heating on 2 levels is provided by a geothermal heat pump.
Possibility of sleeping 2 additional people (over 4) in the sofa very comfortable (extra 40 € / week). Bed linen and towels are provided on arrival.
Internet access and telephone included (fixed and mobile phones France, excluding special numbers)
Cleaning service possible (50 €)
The building is entirely independent on a plot of 450 m2 with private entrance, parking possible 2 cars, metal gate lockable. Large sunny terrace all day.
Weekly rental only, from Saturday 3 pm to Saturday 10 am Please indicate the estimated time of arrival.
Due to the doubling in one year of the tourist tax and in order not to penalize our guests, we decided to voluntarily decommission our lodging of 5 to 4 stars. It remains very comfortable. The city tax will be charged by Abritel, (€ 1.50 per night and per person over 18 years (€ 3 for 5 stars!)). The cottage is non-smoking.

Summary: Third visit to this beautiful property. About 15 minutes from St Mere Eglise and 10 minutes from Utah beach. Very peaceful location and ideal for relaxing away from the crowds. Plenty of WW2 museums and/or other places of interest to explore close by. The property owners, Catherine and Jean, are very helpful hosts and available if needed. Another wonderful stay.

Summary: An idyllic gite in tranquil surroundings in which to 'switch-off' and relax. We received a warm welcome from our hosts Catherine (who spoke perfect English)and Jean. The gite has all mod cons equipped with towels and bedding AND the bedding and towels are changed weekly. We wanted for nothing. Cleaning products were also supplied. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property. Thank you Catherine and Jean for your kindness and hospitality. Barbara & David. England.

Summary: We have just returned from a marvellous stay at The Bakery (4 to 11 June 2022). We used the property as a base for the DDay commemorations and to explore the many WW2 historical museums and other locations in the area. The property is in an excellent location, enabling us to relax and unwind after a busy day out and about. The property was very clean with lots of kitchen equipment, storage and useful books/maps/information to browse through. We have already booked another stay for 2024, but for 2 weeks. Summary: My wife and I stayed at Catherine and Jean's property for two weeks in March-April 2022. I cannot relay what a wonderful experience we had staying at their beautiful property. Catherine and Jean have thought about every detail that goes into making your vacation/holiday worry free. The home/gite is a newly renovated 200+ year old village bakery and is simply wonderful! It has two full bedrooms with three beds total and a sofa sleeper is needed. All furnishings are provided along with all bedding and towels. The kitchen is fantastic, if you would be staying during the winter months and if restaurant schedules would be a challenge. You can make great meals with all items provided in their detailed kitchen at the home. Catherine and Jean are close by if any need would arise, but they provide total privacy. Summary: Well, everything was just wonderful. The house, the place, the silence, the help, the chicken, the kitchen, the landscapes, the ocean and of course Catherine and Jean. They were so friendly and helped us so much. That was perfect!

Summary: The house is immaculate and has everything one might need. The owners are very friendly and treated us to a home made cider and apple juice and also home grown tomatoes and chicken eggs. To my sons delight chickens came to visit us every day. The location is very quiet and peaceful, close to Utah beach and with lots of places to visit nearby. I can’t think of a better place to have spent our holiday.

Summary: We booked the property almost 2 years ago as we were attending the 2019 DDay commemorations. The property is without doubt worth a 5 star rating. Set in a tranquil location but within easy reach of local places of interest. The quality, location and security was excellent for our purposes. We could highly recommend staying here.

Summary: We only stayed a week, but loved the house. It is clean, very complete and in a nice quiet surrounding. The interior and exterior are both beautiful, and with the good weather we had, we enjoyed the garden very much. Lots of activities in the area, without feeling overcrowded with tourists. Pretty sure, we will visit The Bakery once more!

Summary: Such a nice place to stay. From the moment we arrived everything was just perfect. Excellent hosts provided a lovely welcome with eggs from their hens and a tour of the gite. The area is lovely and quiet yet close to the coast and some of the villages and towns to visit. We walked to the beach and cycled through the area. The gite is very well equipped and fantastically clean. We used the BBQ and enjoyed garden and patio most evenings. Our two children loved the hens coming by to say hello and the fields nearby had horses, cows and donkeys. Fully recommend a stay at this place
