If you want a relaxing stay in beautiful Blowing Rock, with easy access to all the shopping and restaurants without the hassles of parking, you will love Bark Bungalow. Tucked away on a quiet one-way side street, half a block from Main Street, Bark Bungalow offers an abundance of rustic charm and a very uniquely crafted interior--wood floors, a gourmet kitchen that would be at home in a house twice this size, a gorgeous dry stack stone gas logs fireplace, a master bedroom with king bed and a second bedroom with a queen, plus two adjoining full baths. Note: Wood is not provided for the fireplace.
For outdoor enjoyment, there is a covered back porch plus a gas grill and a sweet backyard that is totally fenced and private.
All the shops and restaurants, parks, and trails of the village are literally a stone's throw away--this home is closer to the center of town than most parking places--you can leave your car parked and come back to this cozy and inviting retreat at the end of the day.

Pet Rules:
Bark Bungalow accepts a maximum of two dogs under 45 lbs or one larger dog.
Your dog(s) must be fully housetrained and current on vaccinations and Flea & Tick preventative; cannot be left loose or unattended at any time; must be crated if you leave them home alone, crate(s) not supplied; pets are not allowed on the furniture and you must clean up any hair in the home upon your departure. Please make sure to clean up the yard after your dogs; if there is a hot tub, dogs are not allowed in it. The non refundable and taxable pet fee is per dog.

Summary: It was enjoyable to relax in this lovely cottage! Cooking was a pleasure in the very well-appointed kitchen. Sitting in the living room was cozy by the gas fired fireplace. The backyard was tiny but perfect--we could hear the church hymns at 25 minutes past the hour during the day and sit outside for meals. Bedrooms/Bathrooms were so comfy with high end sheets and towels. The location had advantages to explore the town shops and restaurants as well as walking trails with town history close by.

Summary: This house was absolutely terrific. From the two-sided fireplace to the incredible architectural details, we enjoyed a quiet, relaxing weekend enjoying this home. It was very clean, very well stocked (with towels and kitchen supplies), and very conveniently located - only 2 houses away - from the restaurants and shops in downtown Blowing Rock. We will definitely plan to stay here again.
