Positive: Amazing Georgian property located right on the beach in Sandgate with a private beach entrance. The house is immaculately presented and feels like being welcomed into somebody's home. The beds are extremely comfy, and there are two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with tub. Your eyes are drawn to all of the little details, antique furniture, plants a-plenty, pictures and paintings, books, and games. We were very lucky with the weather, but had it been chilly or raining, sitting in either of the lounges in front of a fire with a book would have been equally exquisite. A true gem 💎
Negative: Parking may be an issue, that said we were able to park both cars within a short walking distance and for free ... in August! Bit of a step down to the beach, the little portable kitchen steps were great, if you are fit and mobile. There is also the possibility to walk around the reach the beach step-free.

Positive: The owners of The Beach Cottage always kept me up to date and responded immediately before and during our stay. If you are looking to stay somewhere that makes you feel at peace, and with the benefit of having the ocean as your backyard, then The Beach Cottage is where you need to be. It was truly a fantastic place. I found myself daydreaming that this was my home and waking up in the morning as I pretended to work from home, drinking some coffee and looking out the back patio at the ocean.
Negative: Parking is available about 50 yards away. This is by no means a deal breaker concerning parking, and this is coming from my partner, who is in a wheelchair. We were able to easily access the home, and she was also exceptionally happy about the beauty and comfort of The Beach Cottage.

Positive: Being on the beach was nice but the village town itself was shut most of the week with an overpriced grocery shop.
Negative: Cleanliness on property was NOT acceptable!
Summary: Feel robbed of my money in dirty surroundings of damp, black mould, smelly bedding and surroundings!

Positive: The location was very good. Property was large & comfy.
Negative: The settees were very dirty we covered them with blankets. The big TV wouldn’t connect to internet for 3 days. Lots of bulbs had gone. Couldn’t use the garden or BBQ as too grubby, needs some TLC.
Summary: We had fun as a family & lots to do, the weather was good to us.

Positive: Nice property with great proximity to the beach. Lots of household items if you need them.Easy access to bus stop and some nice bars/restaurants etc within walking distance.
Negative: Access to promenade is difficult involving a step ladder. Difficult to walk around bed in top floor bedroom as there is very little room around it.

Positive: The cottage had all the facilities and more. Special touch was the beautiful flowers in the lounge and bottle of wine on our arrival. The beds were extremely comfortable, and cleanliness was to a high standard. Will certainly Hooe to return in the near future.
Negative: The only issue we had was when we wanted to unload our luggage due to the restrictions, i.e., double yellow lines. This made things difficult, but we managed to work around this.

Positive: A really lovely family home where you felt relaxed and having the sea views and walks along the promenade just made the holiday.
Negative: The down side could be there is no parking but because we were out of season we had no problem parking on the front just up from the property.
