Positive: The character and location of the property are excellent. The staff are very friendly.

Negative: Unfortunately, our room was on the top floor which was quite a struggle. I think it was the only dog friendly room though. It’s a comfortable room with a good bathroom.

Positive: Staff were lovely throughout our stay . Quiet upstairs , busy downstairs . Food was great .

Negative: We stayed in twin room, beds a bit narrow, I nearly feel out 🤣

Positive: Interior of the hotel was welcoming and cosy. Staff were excellent, very attentive. Lovely clean room and bathroom. Good choices for breakfast

Negative: We were in Yogi room and right outside our window was the extractor from the kitchen which was very noisy so couldn't open window at night as too loud to sleep.

Summary: Lovely hotel, well priced, great location. Would recommend to others, just not the room we had.

Positive: Individual character Lovely breakfast Quiet A bit ‘different’ Good chef the night we ate at the hotel

Negative: No on site parking - which had been informed but was still a pain! We stayed in ‘Yogi’ and the shelf above the sink was rusty which spoiled an otherwise lovely room.

Summary: Two peaceful nights with our dog at ‘The Bear’. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Feel we have had a good break
