Summary: Room was small and stuffy with windows that didnt open wide enough. Bathroom ok but nowhere to put toiletries. Towels were fluffy and in good condition but little hanging space to dry them. Fan in room was useless generating little air movement. Bed was on the hard side.

Summary: Amazing stay, very nice staff and nice feel for a non conventional hotel. A lot of thought has gone into the guest rooms, only short coming was that we landed on a hot day and we only had one fan in the family room. Highly recommend

Summary: Unfortunately I was in a top floor room on a sweltering day with a fan that couldn’t cope! The door on the shower unit wanted to fall off and trying to get water from shower was elusive as the jets were all over the place.

Summary: Bar air conditioning a bit light weight in 30C plus temperatures. Staff were extremely helpful with check in times allowing early access for wedding attire changing etc. Breakfast was good. Room was fine for the very reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: A very large dated hotel undergoing refurbishment whilst still functioning for business. Town centre location and busy. A good menu with quick service. The downside of our stay was the location of our bedroom immediately below the boiler system. The noise became unbearable when trying to sleep on a warm night. This was resolved by a lovely lady on night reception duty who relocated us to a much quieter and cooler room. Good breakfast selection with very fast service.

Summary: Nice looking old building, full of character in keeping with surroundings, however the downside to this was poor internal layout. There was a (small) lift but even with a lift we still had few steps up & down to get to our room so not a problem for us but less abled/non ambient may not have been able to enjoy their stay. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice of buffet items & hot food off menu cooked to order. Staff at breakfast lovely. No air conditioning in room, only in bar. As we had heatwave it would have been nice but we’re in UK so not usually an issue. Minor building works going on (late May 26).
