4 Bedroom Villa in Silver Sands, Duncans

The Space
Set within the gated estate of Silver Sands, Butterfly Villa is your home from home. There are staff on hand to take care of all your needs and to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cook is happy to do your shopping and to prepare meals, the housekeeper and gardener are also on hand.
There are two extensive living areas, the downstairs living area opens up onto the large inviting terracotta pool deck. You may choose to have your breakfast on the large veranda overlooking the beautiful pool and garden, as we do when we are at home in the villa.
Whilst strolling through the garden you may wish to admire the various fruit trees, if you wish to sample any just ask the gardener!
There are 4 bedrooms to choose from, all have en-suite bathrooms plus a house bathroom. The master suite has a Queen size bed plus bath and shower. The next bedroom has a King, then a Double and a Twin room. All have showers with ample towels and dressing gowns. Beach towels are also available during your stay, we really want to make you as comfortable as possible.
Feel like eating outside? Ask the cook and they will set up the barbeque, maybe to taste the famous Jamaican 'jerk chicken'.
If you feel like relaxing indoors there is cable TV, board games and internet access.
Guest Access
You will have access to a private beach shared by the gated Silver Sands community. There is also a private pool at the villa, a front and back patio, and a garden area. You have full use of the main house.
Interaction with Guests
Your point of contact during your stay will be the house staff but we are only a call away. At no extra cost, there is a housekeeper, gardener and cook at the villa on hand usually from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m but working hours can be altered to accommodate personal needs. All are more than happy to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
The Neighbourhood
Silver Sands is a very quiet gated residential estate made up of Jamaican homeowners and other international visitors. There's no traffic to worry about, the area is very green and very well maintained. The estate has strict rules regarding external works and noise.
Getting Around
We can arrange, for guests to be transferred to and from the airport in Montego Bay to the villa on arrival and departure.
We can arrange for transport to your chosen destination, perhaps Dunns River Falls which is a short drive away or a shopping trip into Montego Bay or Ocho Rios.
The private beach is a short 10 minute walk from the villa, where there is also a local restaurant and beach bar. Or a golf cart can be booked in advance, subject to availability.

Summary: We had a truly wonderful 9-day stay at Butterfly Villa! The villa itself was clean, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. The beach was beautiful and only a short 10-minute walk away and was great for relaxing and snorkeling if the waters were calm. We usually spent our afternoons enjoying the pool with our kids. It was the perfect place to relax and have fun as a family.What really made our stay special were Marva and Francine. They were so welcoming and warm-hearted, and their hospitality made all the difference. The food they prepared was absolutely delicious, and they went out of their way to ensure our daughter, who has celiac disease, wouldn’t be exposed to any gluten. Their care and attention meant so much to us, and our daughter was able to eat safely and enjoy every meal. My one suggestion would be to get beds that are softer as they felt too hard for my back. We made so many wonderful memories at Butterfly Villa and would absolutely love to return someday!

Summary: We loved our stay. We were there the last week of March. House met all of our needs. Beach was very quiet, the sand is so soft on your feet. Sea and the pool temperatures were great for cooling us off just a little. Francean and Marva took care of our every need, from airport transportation, grocery shopping, meals, cleaning and even helped us arrange a morning of snorkelling. The meals were so awesome, we had mostly American style breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, juice) and Jamaican dinners (jerk chicken, another wonderful chicken dish we had twice, curried goat, beef stew, garlic shrimp). For lunch we had leftovers and there was always fresh banana bread for snacking. Played a little tennis in the morning before it got too hot. There was a karaoke night at the beach club on Wednesday night. Will stay again some day.

Summary: This property is very comfortable. In addition to the bedrooms there are plenty of other spaces to enjoy your time. The outdoor furniture needs updating along with other areas of the home. The home staff was lovely and the traditional Jamaican dishes served were excellent.

Summary: Our stay at the Butterfly Villa was fabulous. Prior to arrival Beverly communicated promptly with answers to our questions and helped us line up a driver and our first meals. Franceen and Marva gave us a warm welcome and their hospitality throughout our stay was supherb! They went above and beyond in making sure we had what we needed and got to where we needed to be with our excursions, etc. The food they prepared was amazing and my kids ate more vegetables and tried more fruits than ever. The beach at Silver Sands is perfect, white soft sand, turquoise water and a the bar/grill on the beach is convenient and adds to the atmosphere. The neighborhood is safe and it’s fun to meet new people who stay in the homes there. We truly loved everything about our stay! Franceen and Marva are the highlight of this home. Summary: Our group of seven +50, had the pleasure of staying at Butterfly Villa for 4 nights in January 2024. The villa was spacious and clean, with a good layout. The majority of our villa time was spent on the covered veranda overlooking the pool, where we ate, lounged and played games. The pool and deck was a highlight, and the beds comfortable. The Villa lived up to its description and possibly even surpassed our expectations. Positioned within Silver Sands, the villa’s location at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. While the beach was a 10-minute walk away, we opted to rent a golf cart, but are not sure if we would on future visits. Silver Sands, with its stunning beach, left a lasting impression. The beach was very picturesque, and offered swimming, paddling, snorkeling, and long walks along the shoreline. The availability of shade from umbrellas and trees added to the charm. Franceen and Marva contributed significantly to our amazing experience. Franceen’s arranged for the purchase of our groceries, kept careful records - to sum up her approach she said “you tell us want you want, and we will make it happen”. Marva’s culinary skills left us longing for more. Her delicious cooking allowed us to fully embrace the vacation experience, sampling local dishes, and free from the concerns of meal preparation and dishwashing. A heartfelt thank you to Beverly for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. Our experience at Butterfly Villa was truly amazing and memorable. We hope to return

Summary: Butterfly Villa was exactly as advertised. The staff was wonderful and Beverly the owner makes sure everything is taken care of. It is a short walk to the private beach. The sand is so soft and the water so clear - you want to skip sightseeing elsewhere. Check out Juliet’s for amazing fried chicken and atmosphere.
