Welcome to adorable Belmont where charm blossoms and so does our cottage. Recently renovated with heart and love, it’s an old house but we think it’s pretty sweet and we hope our guests do too. New mattresses, new furniture, tankless water heater and all new appliances - we made an old house shine again. We are a 15 min walk to downtown and all that Belmont has to offer or just enjoy the space, eat al fresco or swing in the hammock. You’re home at Belmont Cottage.

The whole cottage is dedicated to our guests.
The Space -
Beautiful natural light, vaulted ceilings, gorgeous chandelier, vertical shiplap, gold hardware and neutral, soothing decor. Let your eyes rest in this soothing abode. Relax in the open space making it easy to chat on the sofa while some cooks in the kitchen. Our smart ROKU tv allows you stream your own streaming accounts. Head to the master bedroom where a new king mattress awaits with its own ensuite bathroom and rainfall shower head. We have a cozy (ie small) second bedroom that has a full bed with a lofted twin mattress over the full bunk for a whimsical room that allows additional sleeping options. To sleep 3 in this room, I recommend kids or 2 adults understanding that one will have to climb to the lofted twin bed.
The second bathroom is located off the den with a tub/shower combo. The house is on a tankless water heater - hot water might take a few more seconds to heat up but once it does, it will never run out. Enjoy the gas grill outside or electric stove inside. The whole house is cooled and heated by a mini-split system. This means each room can have their own temperature.
A unique option with this cottage is that it is located behind our sister Airbnb - The Belmont Bungalow. Although both houses have their own private and completely separate space and yards - should families need to book both - ie for wedding weekends, holidays, reunions, etc - you have the possibility of having 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms to sleep a total of 11 people between both neighboring houses. Each home must be booked separately due to different calendars and cleaning fees, any outside use of space must still be approved if unauthorized guests are coming on site. This new listing provides convenience for those needing additional overflow space to have another house close by or for those choosing to stay private, it is still tucked away and makes a beautiful home away from home. It's always nice to have options and the Belmont Cottage and The Belmont Bungalow provide those.

We live close by and have licensed professionals should any problems arise, but we typically allow apps and messaging to allow guests access so guests can come and go as they please.

Summary: Our stay at the cottage was wonderful! The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. The only small recommendation I have is for future guests to bring portable shades if they prefer more privacy, as the bamboo style shades are somewhat see through from the outside, even when down. That being said, this didn’t take away from our experience, and I would stay here again!

Summary: This property is one of my favorite places! It is so cute and cozy. Has everything you need for a family of 4 or 5. It is private and safe. The proximity to the adorable town of Belmont is very close and it’s about 15-20 minutes to Charlotte. A truly comfortable place!

Summary: We've been going to the Charlotte area for a decade or so to visit family. We are not "city folk" so we try to stay out of the big city as much as possible. Because of that, this place is a perfect location. The cottage is in the charming little city of Belmont and sits back a bit from the road to provide a little more privacy. We love the fact that within a mile or two there are lots of great places to eat, shop, and go walking. We loved going to Lofton Riverfront Park and watching the birds and wildlife. As we ventured out further (about 15-20 minutes) we were able to visit the beautiful Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden and the US Olympic Whitewater Training Center. And for you big city folks, it is a very convenient 25-minute drive to downtown Charlotte. The cottage itself is very clean, the words "cute" and "charming" came up a few times when sharing pictures with family. And Gwynne was very responsive to our questions and changing needs. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Belmont Cottage was just like it showed in the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked. had a little trouble figuring out the AC but finally did and it worked well. The location was great. Historic downtown Belmont was great and had lots of good restaurants. The host was very responsive when we had any questions. We would stay there again if we came out to Charlotte

Summary: This cozy cottage was prefect for our family of 3. Very close drive to downtown Belmont restaurants, coffee shops, stores. And an easy, quick drive to the Whitewater Rafting Center, which was the main purpose of our visit. The decor was very pleasing and the home felt very relaxing. Everything was very clean. The outdoor space was great as well. It was a very comfortable stay. We had a question about the door code when we arrived and the homeowner responded to our message immediately!! We hope to stay again next time we are in the area! Loved it!
