The Blue Heron is a beautiful, meticulously maintained four-bedroom home loaded with amenities. You will find a clean, artistically decorated space with all the conveniences of home.
We welcome you to stay in our home, located on a lovely bayou in Ocean Springs, MS. This is Valerie’s & Bob’s retirement home…we live here when the weather is too cold up north. We invite you to be comfortable and enjoy Southern hospitality! We are located near a lovely golf course.
Located in the beautiful Gulf Hills area of Ocean Springs, golfing, dining, boating, fishing, and much more await you. Only a five-minute drive to the heart of the historic downtown Ocean Springs shopping/restaurant district where you will find numerous dining, shopping, and museums that make this town famous.
Beautiful Front Beach is only about eight minutes away and provides white sandy beaches and amazing sunrises/sunsets.
The home provides a formal dining room and a large eat-in kitchen that has everything you need to cook and serve meals.
The Master Bedroom has a King-size bed and a sleeper sofa, with the Master Bathroom featuring a double vanity, stand-up shower, and large tub. Walk out the French doors and you will be able to slip into the six-person hot tub located on the back deck.
The two guest bedrooms have Queen beds, and the fourth bedroom has a sofa that pulls out into a double bed. The guest bathroom has a tub/shower, toilet, single vanity, and makeup vanity. All bedrooms have flat-screen Smart TVs!
The living room has a large flat-screen Smart TV and French doors leading out to the back patio. High-speed Wi-fi is provided.
The Blue Heron provides refreshing water views and a private dock if you decide to bring your boat. Enjoy lounging on our spacious screened enclosed porch or swinging in our hammocks and viewing the bayou. We also provide kayaks for guest use.
A firepit is provided for your evening enjoyment.
There is a public launch nearby; feel free to tie up your boat at our backyard dock. We have ample parking on the property for vehicles and boat trailers. There are security cameras monitoring the driveway (none indoors)
There is even enough room to park your RV if need be. Please park all vehicles in our spacious driveway.
There is a fully fenced-in backyard for well-behaved furry friends to frolic.
**Please be aware that eight people maximum are allowed on the property at any one time. This will be enforced. If more than eight people are found to be on the property without prior permission you will be asked to leave without a refund.***
***We have installed exterior security cameras for the safety of both guest and property. These cameras are actively recording both audio and video, they are located at the garage, facing the boat house to see water levels during storms, and we have a ring doorbell at the front door. There are no inside cameras.***
***Dogs only are allowed for a $150 non-refundable pet fee that covers up to two well-behaved dogs for three-night stays or less. Must be on flea and tick preventative .Please select that you will be bringing your dogs when making the reservation. If staying longer than three nights, an additional $50 per night charge will be added that we will send a payment request for after booking***
Our community has golfing, boating, fishing, and dining. It is an approximate fifteen-minute drive to Biloxi where you will find numerous casinos and entertainment options.

Summary: We loved staying at the Blue Heron for our stay in Ocean Springs. We had multiple generations, from 92 yrs to 18 yrs. My father has a walker and he could get around for the most part. He had trouble getting the walker into the toilet rooms, and outside in the backyard, but overall wonderful time. The home was very clean and tidy upon entry, and had many amenities that weren't even mentioned. It was clear that the owners knew how to host and had items that some travelers may forget to bring. The pantry had condiments, spices and seasonings that we usually, so that was nice that we didn't have to purchase them. We ate at the house quite a bit and there was plenty of room for our group at the dining table (seating for 8). The neighborhood where the house is located is quiet and friendly. The back covered and screen in porch was great to watch the lightening and hear the rain. The house is near a lot of sights, so we didn't have to travel far. We would love to stay at the Blue Heron again if our travels take us to that area again.

Summary: Our family evacuated the Florida Panhandle right before Hurricane Helene and this property was the perfect escape! We didn't want to leave and come back to reality. The screened deck was so tranquil and the backyard was perfect for our dog. We will absolutely book again on our next trip to the area!

Summary: My sister and I traveled with our elderly mother and her young children to visit teenage nieces and nephews in Ocean Springs. The Blue Heron was the perfect fit! It is ADA accessible as our mom uses a walker, but also had a pack-n-play and a high chair. So many amenities for the teens to do including the hot tub, kayaks, and board games. We will be back! for the baby

Summary: We had a great stay at the Blue heron house. It fit three families with kids of various age ranges and had plenty of room. Hot tub was a great bonus feature and had it stayed dry we would have definitely used the fire pit. Overall great experience for a quick trip for a Coast Guard retirement party. We will definitely be back! Would recommend this place to anyone staying in or around Ocean Springs.

Summary: The house was spacious and well appointed. The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. Also most stores/restaurants delivered to the location. Would definitely stay here again.
