Positive: This one truly deserves something straight from the heart. Still trying to figure what hit home the hardest — Shreya’s genuine warmth, the ever smiling volunteers, the soulful vibe of the common room, the breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga, the adorable furry friends (one of them - Murphy, faithfully shadowed our footsteps on every mini-exploration, playing the perfect protective host) or was it the delicious meals we eagerly anticipated daily. We practically had to pry our little girl away from all the love she received here just to continue our journey further. Shreya and her team truly showed us the beautiful impact a perfect homestay can have on a travellers.

Positive: The Blue House is a bit of a journey from the city, tucked away in a quiet village setting, but honestly that is exactly what makes it so special. It feels like a premium hill retreat where nature does all the talking. Waking up to those views of Kanchenjunga is something I will not forget anytime soon. The staff completely made the trip. A big shoutout to Siya and Ishaan, whose behaviour was excellent throughout. Nothing felt forced or formal, just genuine warmth from start to finish. And the home cooked food? A solid 10/10. Every meal felt like eating at family’s place. We also loved the resident cats and dogs roaming around, they add so much charm to the whole experience. I visited with my Filipina partner and this was her very first trip to India and to rural Sikkim. I could not have asked for a better introduction for her. She felt welcome, comfortable and completely at ease the entire time. If you love nature, real hospitality and incredible Nepali cuisine, this is a 200% recommendation from me.

Positive: Homely dinner was simple but very tasty. Views to surrounding from outside passage were excellent.Electric Room heaters were provided. Staff was very polite & pleasant.

Negative: Approach road to house was very difficult. We need to walk on steep rough road for atleast 50 meters. Difficult in the night particularly because there is no lighting also on road. During daytime it is managable.

Positive: Very friendly owners/staff, very helpful..good facilities overall. Definitely more of a homestay so don't expect anything upscale. The morning views of Kanchenjunga and the many furry friends on site are very well worth it.

Negative: Its not super accessible for people with any physical disabilities. The road to get there is also not the best.

Positive: I had a lovely and peacful stay. The hosts were intouch through the day and helped me book a shared taxi, gave me all the instructions and information I needed. The common area had a great vibe, we were hanging out with other travellers, there was some guitar playing and singing. We celebrated Holi with the whole village. There was true joy in the air. Sia's care was fantastic! She showed me around, she cooked nice food, she went out of her way (litrally) to get some fresh milk for me :) 3 lovely cats and 3 lovely dogs living there. Of you are a pet lover, you'll be in heaven! I found peace at the Blue House. I wish I stayed for longer!

Negative: No heating in the rooms, so on a cold night very very cold. However I was given 2 covers upon arrival, so while in bed it was cosy. Bring warm clothes for going to the toilet :D But seriously, book the room, this place is fantastic!

Positive: I was at the blue house in Pelling during my backpacking trip in Sikkim. This place has a very homely vibe. They have a beautiful cozy cafe where they serve amazing food. The host Sia is a great person and now also a good friend of mine. There are Beautiful sunrise and sunset views right from the property. You can see Kanchenjunga directly. The travellers coming to this place during my stay were also very friendly and warm so that made it overall a very wonderful place to stay in. I would highly suggest people to stay at the blue house in Pelling to have a memorable experience for life.
