Positive: Surely the stay exceeded our expectations! The space ended up being more spacious than what the pictures’ve shown. It has all the essentials for you to prepare a meal, make a drip coffee or to even have a bbq. The space was clean and comfortable, we felt safe at night (very sweet neighbor). Market is nearby, you can park your car and most importantly the host was very attentive and accommodating.

Positive: We had a lovely stay overall and really enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and welcoming when we arrived, and the couch had already been set up as a bed, which was very convenient for us. The kitchen is well equipped, and we found both the stove and oven worked very well. We made good use of the hoover to keep the house clean during our stay, and it was great to have access to the washing machine, which we used twice. There is also a dryer in the bathroom, which added to how well equipped the house is. We didn’t mind the noise too much, as we were usually quite tired after spending our days exploring the island. Communication with Jose was excellent—he kept in touch, answered all our questions, and was very helpful throughout. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches, including a cot provided for our toddler and a lovely welcome gift from Jose.

Negative: The house has a gated entrance with a remote, which works well, though you do need to be ready to open it quickly when entering or exiting due to the amount of traffic outside. Parking can feel a bit hectic and stressful at times because of oncoming cars, but it’s manageable with a bit of care.

Summary: Overall, the house is very well equipped and made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Positive: We really enjoyed the excellent location with a beautiful view and a lovely terrace. The convenient parking spot in the backyard was a big plus. There’s a grocery store nearby and plenty of local bars within walking distance. The kitchen was well equipped, making it easy to prepare our own meals.

Negative: The house is located near a bus stop, so the street can be busy during the day, which meant a little less privacy. However, since we spent most of the day out, it wasn’t a major issue. The apartment could have been a bit cleaner, but it didn’t cause us significant problems. The shower was slightly clogged during our stay, but we believe this has already been fixed.

Summary: Overall, it’s a great place to stay with an excellent location, convenient parking, a cozy atmosphere, and very good val

Positive: Location was good. Only 10-15min drive to Funchal centre. Internet connection was great. A/C was also good. Washing machine facilities were very useful. Overall it was a good experience, the host is very friendly and helpful. I truly believe the issues we experiences will be rectified by him for other visitors to come!

Negative: Amount of centipedes that make their way into the house over night. Lack of bathroom ventilation. Lack of water spill control in the shower area. The shower head holder that struggles holding the shower head. Door handles that are failing (be careful, do not latch any internal doors).

Summary: It's OK stay for the money. Location is good but get used to the traffic noise from the busy road.

Positive: We experienced great communication from the host. The house was clean and well stocked with all the essentials one could wish for. Location is great as well.

Negative: There is only one fixed air conditioner in the bedroom. The cool air doesn’t reach the living room & kitchen. Another fan for these rooms would have been fantastic.

Summary: Great price for value. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the blue house.

Positive: The house is amazing. Good location, amazing view, really comfortable and cozy. The TV is bigger than in the photos. Has a parking spot and it's not hard to enter there at all. Overall a really good experience. The owner left cookies and Madeira wine which were really appreciated

Negative: As mentioned here before, the noise. Since it's right near a pretty busy road it has some noise from cars. It's not a problem for me but keep it in mind. The bathroom is also small but more than enough
