Negative: The service: We checked into a three-bedroom unit (as described by the front desk), but one of the rooms was actually a study with a sofa that cannot be extended, and there didn’t appear to be any extra bedding—no duvet, pillows, or sheets. I spoke to a male receptionist about this on my way out for dinner on the day we checked in. He told me that the additional bedding was in the wardrobe. However, when I returned, I couldn’t find it. I called the hotel, and they sent an extra set of bedding. I’m not sure if there was a communication gap between reception and room service regarding this. Another issue was the bottled water in the room. There were four of us staying in the three-bedroom unit, but only two bottles of water were provided. When I asked the same receptionist about the bedding, he mentioned that extra bottles would be supplied the next day and that we could purchase more from the vending machine. I understand the limitations of providing bottled water, but two small bottles for four guests seems insufficient. I believe this is an area that could be improved. On a positive note, the lady who checked us in during the morning was very friendly.
Summary: overall was ok. The service could be improved by given the hotel is branded as a five-star hotel.

Positive: We enjoyed our stay at the Branksome, the rooms are a great size (stayed in a Studio Suite), were clean and tidy and we appreciated the amenities including pool, gym and sauna. The location is good too if you're travelling and want to be close by to the airport.
Negative: I am unfortunately a light sleeper, and whilst our room was located at the end of the corridor so there wasn't much internal hotel noise, I did find the aircraft noise to be disturbing at times. Not a detraction from the hotel or our stay in general but worth noting if you don't want to be disturbed by that.
