Positive: We were traveling along the Mississippi River Road and stayed one night at the Burlington. Very friendly owner, bar was fun and our room was really comfortable. Great stay.

Positive: The amenities were very well thought out. As a retired railroad conductor and railroad historian I appreciated the many references in the hotel and bar to the Burlington railroad.
Summary: I wanted a nice place close to the railroad. I got it and then some.

Positive: The hotel has a little kitchenette that has coffee and snacks It really doesn't have a breakfast unless you want instant oatmeal. Jennifer the owner/host was so fun to talk with at the bar and the cats that wander in the bar are quite entertaining. The rooms are small so expect that. It's just a quaint old hotel -- I would stay there again. It's decorated nicely and small details are exceptional. ENJOY...

Positive: The kitchenette was well equipped, the bathroom quaint and well stocked. The owner was very nice and the bar beautiful.
Negative: The room was small and mattress a bit firmer than I liked. There could have been a comfier place to sit, but the TV room was cozy.

Positive: Cute small-town hotel in a beautiful area of the state! Jennifer was an excellent hostess, we enjoyed chatting with her and the regulars in the bar downstairs after exploring during the day. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and there were many thoughtful amenities (keurig pods, a refrigerator, water bottles left in our room, plenty of extra shampoo and conditioner if we forgot anything).

Positive: Jennifer was such a wonderful host! Running the Burlington Hotel is her hobby and you can tell she enjoys it. The hotel itself was like stepping back in time. We enjoyed sitting out on the upper porch across from the Mississippi River watching the sunset. The downstairs bar is comparable to going to an Irish Pub.
