Positive: Loved the location, The Carthouse has lots of character, loved the fire! Love the oven and garden. Everything about the place is great!
Negative: If I’m being really picky I’d prefer the price of the oil being included in the price not having to pay extra.
Summary: Lovely place! I would recommend to anyone.

Negative: Additional cost of Oil-fired heating not mentioned until arrival at the property. The property did not match the photos on the website - bed uncomfortable, sloped in the middle. Although spacious, the whole property was very dated and needs modernising.

Positive: Converted barn set in a peaceful location. One bedroom with a studio living room and kitchen that opens onto the rear terrace with views over a field. Well stocked kitchen, electric cooker, kettle, microwave and fridge and sofa bed. Wood burner and barn roof beams are beautiful. It has wet room bathroom and oil central heating throughout. Don't expect 5 star quality the place needs some modernisation but has all the basics you need for a pleasant experience. We stayed in the winter so the wood burner was essential to keep warm due to the high ceiling. Would also be great in warmer weather. Had 2 kids with us so TV and WiFi helped but we brought our own fire stick TV to keep them entertained. Would recommend this place we had a great time.
Negative: Oil central heating is charged separately. Facilities need modernisation and a general refresh

Positive: The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Superb location to get to all main areas i.e. Malmesbury, Tetbury, Cirencester and the Cotswolds water park with very little driving involved.
Negative: The only thing that we weren't keen on was the drainage of the shower. Because the bathroom is really a wet room the water does not drain away quick enough so spreads across the floor. Even after mopping it away the floor is still wet for a considerable amount of time. This means on subsequent visits to the bathroom you are likely to get wet feet or slippers.
Summary: Lovely cottage in a great location.
