Positive: The hotel staff were very friendly & accommodating. The modern decor was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect if you are looking for a night on the town to check out local restaurants.
Negative: On our arrival, we were booked in one of the basement rooms. We used the bathroom right away and noticed that there were brown specs on the top and underside of the toilet seat. The tracks of the shower doors had pink mold, and the glass shower doors were dirty. The ring around the drain in the sink also had pink mold growing. Also, the pillows had multiple hairs on everyone. I own a cleaning business, and these cleaning practices are simply unacceptable. I am aware that pink mold takes time to grow, and it was obvious that these areas have been neglected for some time. My suggestion would be to add vinegar and a scrub brush to your cleaning gear, as it is so helpful in getting hard water off of shower glass doors so they look brand new every time. I was very happy that we were upgraded to a king room on the 3rd floor, it was cleaner than our previous room, however the shower was in need of a deep clean, including the grout needed a good cleaning and the shower doors were streaky and hard water stains. There were also toothpaste splatters all over the walls surrounding the sinks. Maybe the cleaning team needs more time to ensure that they are doing a better job - or more extensive training. With a hotel that is so beautifully decorated and has such a wonderful staff, its just disappointing to have a cleaning team that didn't pay attention to the important details of a proper clean that made me feel that our space was properly disinfected. I share this feedback in hopes that it is taken as constructive feedback that can help with developing a more positive atmosphere.

Positive: Location was great. We were there for two nights and had switched rooms. The second room was better.
Negative: Basement room from the first night was ridiculous. Barely bigger than a closet. Second night in the main floor was much better. I would recommend a dimmer for the light switch that controls the half of the room with a table. It’s way way too bright.
Summary: First night was terrible and they could not accommodate a room switch.

Positive: This seems to be an old hotel that has been recently renovated to become and upscale, almost a deluxe hotel. Let me explain: Our room was small and the hallways were a bit confusing (like an older hotel) but the bathroom was very clean, bright and modern. The sleeping area was a bit crowded but the clothes closet, TV, headboard and general finishes were all upscale and definitely not not like a "Dollar Hotel". The window had three (THREE) pull-down blinds to absolutely shut out the morning sun if you wished to sleet in. Also, there are lots of interesting shops and cafe's within a 5 minute walk like the Mariposa Market on Mississauga St.
Negative: Unfortunately, they don't have many on-site parking spaces but they do have a large off-site parking lot only a block away. That was absolutely fine for us (aged 70+), but older or handicapped people may have trouble.
Summary: Very pleasant and VERY quiet.
