Summary: Beautiful clean home in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby. Plus less than 2 miles from the beach. Will recommend to all and definitely stay there again.

Summary: I highly recommend the Common House. With the owners' permission, we held my daughter's medical school graduation party at the Common House. It was perfect because it has an open floor plan and we were able to open the french doors in the front and the back to accommodate the guests. Everyone who attended could not get over how nice the house was- very comfortable and clean. I love the backyard - so cute - it has a fire pit/grill which we lit and sat around in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. The kitchen was well stocked and the house is in a nice neighborhood and convenient to shopping. It is very close to the beach where I ran every morning. The only criticism I have is there is no oven. There is a toaster oven which we used to make a few appetizers. Other than that I recommend the Common House without any hesitation!

Summary: We had a very nice stay at The Common House in Venice. It was perfectly located for us as we were visiting our son in Santa Monica which is quite close. The kitchen is well supplied and the beds are very comfortable. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom which is nice. The fenced in back yard and deck were also very nice and add another dimension of living space to the house. Whole Foods down the street is easy to get to. The only negative part of our stay was a neighbor's dog that barked often throughout the night. It sounded like the dog had been left outside during the nighttime which is interesting as I never heard the dog during the day. We put white noise on our phones and that help muffle the sound. I didn't see this in any of the other reviews so maybe the dog was visiting someone..our stay was over the Memorial Day weekend. Even with the dog barking issue we would stay at the Common House again and plan to when we return to LA to see our son.

Summary: We are a family of Five from the UK and we adored the Commonhouse and would recommend it to to like sized families without hesitation. There was some slight misfortune on the day we arrived, the detail of which is not really important, what is important is the brilliant and efficient way that Karen and the team took care of everything. service like that really does give you a confidence boost as to how the rest of the rental will go and for us it was excellent. The house has everything you need in a home away from home, the best bit being the washer and dryer on the deck outside - this was the first vacation for us when all the clothes in our luggage went home clean !! The location just off Lincoln Blvd is perfect for access to all the major LA highways and the world class Venice and Santa Monica beaches are just minutes away. The fabulous -but very expensive- Wholefoods market is at the end of the street but the much more sensibly priced Ralph's is just a few minutes drive further along Lincoln. We will not hesitate to rent the Commonhouse again when we return to California.

Summary: Our stay at the Common House was very relaxing and being close to the beach was very helpful. Overall a quiet neighborhood with a few planes taking off from the nearby airport. Close to stores and easy access to the LA area. We wished it had an oven but the toaster oven was adaquate. Nice breezes in the afternoon felt great with the doors open. We would recommend this house and would stay again on another stay.

Summary: This stay was the perfect start to our 2 week vacation. The owners reply quickly to all inquiries and the rental process went well. The home was easy to find and access upon arrival. It had everything we needed, very comfortable beds, ample towels and a great CD selection. It was so nice to have the backyard to relax in. We shopped for food at the nearby Whole Foods - you can easily walk there. We felt very safe in this neighbourhood - my daughter ran to the beach each morning and we walked to local restaurants - many good ones in the area. This is a good location for a base to explore LA. We would definitely recommend the Common House.

Summary: We loved our stay in the Common House... through the quality of the property and surrounding area - a 5 start experience. Overall an outstanding place to stay in Venice. We stayed for two months with our dog and the house was able to easily adapt. We quickly felt at home and were sad to go back home. I would recommend the property to anyone and would definitely book again if I need to stay in the same area

Summary: We had a great stay in the house. A short walk to wholefoods and some nice cafes and a few minutes by car to the beach. Yuwen, the owner, was very helpful when we asked for a few small things. Very clean and nice decorated. Only thing is that it´s only 2-3 miles from santa monica airport, so you can hear small planes starting during daytime, mainly between 11am-4pm. In the morning or evening that was no problem. Beside that it´s really a great location and we would come back!

Summary: We recently stayed in the house for a girls getaway. We couldn't ask for better location and better home than this! Close to Abbot Kinney (nice boutiques and restaurants), Santa Monica, and Venice Beach. Nearby Rose Ave has nice restraunts and coffee shop as well! The house is very stylishly decorated, very spacious and clean. We will definitely stay again! Highly recommended!!!
