Positive: Lovely cottage. Excellent location and walking distance 2 miles down the country lane to the most fantastic family safe, all sand beach and shallow water inlet. It’s a local secret spot. Bridget really cares about her guests and to provide all you need 5 mins driving from Doonbeg and 10 mins from Kilkee. 20 mins to Kilrush.
Negative: Internet was spotty a couple of times when windy. I worked and it never really interfered too much. Dark kitchen so light always on.
Summary: I would book again

Negative: A higher pressure shower would have helped with the children. Not a criticism by any means but something it would benefit from.

Positive: Everything was exceptionally clean. It was in the middle of nowhere. There was a lovely blue-flag beach nearby.
Negative: As the name suggested, it was a barn. Literally. It was advertised as pet-friendly, but the owner freaked out when we showed up with my wife's assistant dog. It was advertised as having a garden view, but instead, it had a nice view of the animal feeding area. There was not too much privacy as the owner was always there and never left us alone.

Positive: hostess and son extremely accomodating; nearby town full of cute, historic shops, recommend farmers market. hostess brings baked goods to your door, fresh farm eggs, and is attentive to make sure you have all you need.
Negative: i had a little difficulty with the wood burning stove so hostesses son lit the stove for me; they burn this woodsy moss there in addition to wood; recommend just the wood....
Summary: if you are looking for a country getaway this is it; all your needs will be met.
