Cape Catherine is a private peninsula on Lake Catherine. The peninsula is home to 3 houses; The Big House, The Garage-Mahal and The Cottage. You will be sharing the peninsula with guests in the other two houses. However, you will be the only one to have access to The Garage-mahal. The Garage-Mahal is not shared with anyone.
I am just a phone call or text away if you have any questions. We have a handyman on call if you need something we can not resolve over the phone or text.

You must be 25 years of age or older to rent this house.
The lake, docks, paddle boards, and kayaks are for your use. Use them and swim at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur while using these items.
This house is on Lake Catherine. Entergy drains Lake Catherine every year for shoreline maintenance and general Lake Health. That means that FROM MID-NOVEMBER TO MID-MARCH THERE IS NO WATER UNDER THE DOCKS OR AROUND THE PENINSULA.
Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
The primary renter must be at least 25 years of age.
The person renting the unit must be the person staying in the unit.
A guest list with names and ages and number of vehicles must be provided.
Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am
A minimum charge of $200 per animal will be paid by the guest, if an animal is brought into the unit without prior permission from the host.

Summary: This was the perfect location for me and my cat to go visit my family who live at Diamond Head. It was also super convenient cause they were able to come over and meet my pet. Everything was as expected and Laura was wonderful.

Summary: This place is great. It has water at the front and back. It is so peaceful. There are usually geese. I love watching them. This place is pet friendly. I love how it is simple and clean. The location is conveniently located close to Hot Springs. It is very close to Garven Gardens. The road to hot springs is a wonderfully drive, especially if you take Shady Geove Rd. This was our second stay and we will be back.

Summary: We are a retired couple with a dog and spent 2 nights here in November '24. Location is very quiet with good sunsets. Bed was quite comfortable. There were plentiful towels in the bathroom. We would have liked to have more than 2 wine glasses but that is a really small point. We took the dog on some of the trails at Lake De Gray Resort and Lake Catherine State Park. I realized the nearest grocery store was not close so we brought all of our food and beverages. We didn't realize that Lake Catherine's water levels are lowered from November to March but it isn't like we were going to go swimming. If we wanted a quiet spot in hot weather, I would consider coming here again. Property Manager was very responsive when we had an issue with the TV. Responsiveness is always appreciated.

Summary: We had a little getaway for our anniversary and just wanted a relaxing quiet weekend and that’s exactly what we got. Beautiful views and just sitting on the porch enjoying the lake. Super dog friendly and the pups enjoyed the views and area too! We will definitely be back! And not too far away from downtown either!

Summary: The home is very nice and clean. Neither TV would turn on so we had to drive to Hot Springs to see the Razorback game. We were also disappointed with the bed. Other than these items the home is very nice.

Summary: Had a great time enjoying some of what the area offers, I recommend this for a couples get away. Only issue we had was the drain in the bathtub and sink were slow to drain. This is a great place overall.
