Summary: We love the historic feel of this hotel. It's a great retreat from the DFW metroplex - a short ride out to the "country". Lots of antique shops within walking distance. We had a drink in the hotel bar -- an exquisite jalapeno/cucumber margarita! You get an apartment with kitchen for the price of a hotel room. Lot's of shopping nearby. We also enjoyed a couple's massage at the nearby Bath House and Spa.

Summary: This is a beautiful old hotel that has been redone. We had a two bedroom, two bath suite with living room and full kitchen for a very reasonable price. Expansive lobby and huge area for events. The staff was pleasant. We wish we were staying longer.

Summary: Each rooms are like apartments. It comes with kitchen and living room. Restaurants, shops are right there. Great staff if you need anything. I stay here every time I visit my family. Only thing that I would like is a door man. No automatic door and there are stairs to the lobby. When you have a luggage, there is no one to open the door for you or help with the luggage. It’s a struggle for an old woman.

Summary: First, the bad - in the middle of a hard winter storm I took a half-hour shower and the hot water ran out. Now, the good - the hotel room was head and shoulders above what I expected, with a small but functional kitchen and finishes that were less luxurious than comfortable. In the middle of a hard winter storm the staff were universally friendly, including at both hotel and bar, which each deserve their own extremely positive reviews. Both Oak and Third, the restaurant, and the Rickhouse, the bar, were extremely friendly. Rickhouse has an excellent selection of beers they make themselves, plus usual staples, and Oak and Third provided not the best meal I've had in a while, but the best TWO meals I've had in a while. Both places were full of locals during my stay, and it was clear this was not simply a case of what's open, but "where everybody knows your name," which is always an excellent sign. Overheard conversation said that the hotel also opened their rooms to their staff who couldn't get home, so my impression was that they take care of their people. All in all, can't say enough good things. We didn't get our planned spa weekend, but we got an amazing weekend nonetheless and I fully intend to try again in the future.

Summary: My husband and I had dinner at the restaurant onsite. OMGOSH!! So good! Both nights we had a different salad - OFF THE CHARTS! The grilled Romain salad was unbelievable! They make their own dressing from scratch. Would go again, and we’re from Alaska, to stay at the hotel and have dinner here! You must out this one on your list. 😊

Summary: The hotel is cool but..the beds..matress needs to be replaced..upgraded. Slept only 3 hours because of said matress. It was so worn out you rolled to one side or the other and was as hard as a rock. No coffee in room..only tea. Was a rude awakening early this morning needing coffee after the night I had..with what they charge to stay..they should do better.
