The Shipping Container Den in Red River Gorge is a modern, private retreat crafted from a repurposed shipping container. I've taken a shipping container with character and made a really unique and comfortable place to stay while you visit Red River Gorge. The cabin sits on the side of a hill with a spectacular view across the valley to the cliff line on the other side. While it is secluded, it is easy to get to. The road is paved all the way to the driveway of the cabin, which is flat and easy accessible. The cabin is completely climate controlled (Air Conditioning and Heat), has Spectrum TV, high speed WiFi and city water. The outside of the shipping container was left as it was while being in use. All of the dents and dings give it the character that I wanted. The inside is completely modern. It has maple walls, barn metal ceiling, hardwood flooring, designer cabinets and a 50 inch flat screen TV. The full bathroom has a spacious shower, toilet, vanity, and washer/dryer. Enjoy the outside by sitting by the stainless steel fire pit or soaking in the hot tub while watching the cliff line be illuminated by the setting sun. Wake up to the sunrise through the trees and the birds chirping in the woods. Go on a hike in Red River Gorge and come back to the cabin and relax in the hot tub. All linens, towels, wash rags, toilet paper, and soap is provided. This cabin is the perfect place for two people to enjoy and be super close to Red River Gorge.

Summary: The Container Den Cabin was EXACTLY what/where we needed. The view from the patio area was GORGEOUS!! Amanda was a very easy host to deal with. Very prompt answering any questions. Summary: Coming into the property was easy per our host Amanda's instructions. The hill was steep but okay with FWD. The outside of the property gave the authentic experience of a "shipping container." The lot was mostly private but there were other lodges were near by. The view from the back of container was beautiful. We enjoyed the privacy of the hot tub and sitting by the firepit. The container was immaculate and just enough room for two people. The amenities were great allowing us to bring in just what we needed for a comfortable stay. There were no on site trails to hike but everything was less than a 10 min drive away. We would definitely return!

Summary: Perfect size for two people, beautiful view, quiet and peaceful, super clean (like brand new), hot tub was fantastic, easy to find using the great directions from the host, close to everywhere you’d want to explore plus great restaurants nearby. We were so at peace we didn’t want to leave! Hats off to the host this place is a gem, we left feeling relaxed and happy exactly what we needed!
