Summary: Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nice that there is a bar and restaurant right on the property. Bed was VERY comfortable. Beautiful view of the river from the sliding glass doors that open to the private deck with table & chairs. Price is reasonable, room was very clean, but could use updating a bit. Heat register in bathroom was rusty as was the towel rack. Sliding glass doors in the back out to the 1st floor deck could not be locked, but this wasn't a high crime area so that did not worry me a lot (if my husband was not with me I probably would have been more concerned about it). Smoke Detector looked as if someone ripped it out of the ceiling—only dangling wires left. But, I would go back there again for the positives.

Summary: The whole staff there was fantastic. The food was out of this world! Was there for work and the time at the Eis house made it enjoyable. When I know I’ll be in that area for work in the future it will be my first choice.

Summary: Great location. Be sure you call ahead for check-in....we didn't and found the place closed...owners returned call after a bit and let us in but it felt that we got lucky. Room was nice enough, beds very comfortable. The refrigerator did not work, and when we told owner nothing was done. Since the fridge didn't work we didn't cook and can't speak to the stove top. Attached bar/ restaurant is fun and friendly. Good enough food, definitely a local hang out and I liked meeting folks. It was definitely a step up from other places I have stayed in the area

Summary: This place could be outstanding with a little tlc. The setting by the river is fantastic and all the rooms have private decks. Birds, deer, bullfrogs all night. This is a great place to observe and enjoy nature. It needs redecorating and cleaning. Power wash the deck, clean off the chairs, and replace rusted bathroom fittings. The menu sounded great but the food was substandard and the price was crazy.
