Summary: The Ellery is a sweet hotel with a lovely lobby area. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast they provide. A big upgrade from your typical chain hotels. Service was so friendly, room was clean and had everything you need. We will definitely stay at The Ellery again. And if you are there to visit Northampton, it's a mile walk. So easy!

Summary: We were a bit disappointed in this hotel, which is basically a two-story motel. No elevator, no person on the front desk in the evenings, no ice machine that I could find. There was hair in the bath tub when we arrived, although the toilet and sink were clean. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets were scented, which we both really dislike. The room was clean and spacious. The weather was nice, and we had two windows which we opened at night, since were on the second floor, which was also nice. Breakfast was simple and good. Some cold cereal choices without sugar would have been nice.

Summary: I was so disappointed at what's happened to what used to be the Autumn Inn, a cozy, classic New England hotel. I understand that things change, and no doubt the old carpeting was dirty, but did it really have to be replaced with vinyl? (Wasn't there hardwood under there?) Home Depot must have really appreciated the purchases, including the generic modern furniture. Sure, the sinks are expensive, but they cheaped out on pillows, sheets, and even toilet paper. (Why? Just why?) Even the breakfast was mediocre. All the charm is gone except for the lingering smell of the giant fireplace. (I'm sure they'd get rid of that if they could.) The employees are lovely, though--I commend their politeness and professionalism.

Summary: Would happily stay again, but would make sure to try a second floor room. The only down side for us was the sound insulation and hearing a very busy guest in the room upstairs.

Summary: I've stayed here several times now when visiting my daughter. It's reliable and pleasant, not fancy but plenty of nice features that made me feel at home.

Summary: Would definitely stay there again. We usually stay in 4 or 5 star accomodations so are expectations were a little lower but it far exceeded them. Super close to the bars and restaurants.
