Positive: The ease of coming and going, you are given two keys, one for your room the other for afterhours entrance to the hotel, being able to make a hot beverage, having a heater in the room although I did not have to use it. Privacy, the smell of the hotel, quite pleasant. the position of the hotel very close to most things in the main street. The friendliness of the staff and the willingness to help, shower is hot. I liked being able to sit on the balcony outside by myself and have quiet time, even managed and afternoon nap. The hotel artifacts and old furniture you get an idea of what it must have been like back in the day. I did not eat at the hotel as I was out most days so cannot comment however, the hotel did have a number of guests dining there. I am in my 60; s travel alone and felt quite safe. Would I stay here again? Yes, I would
Negative: Not a problem for me but there are stairs to the upstairs accommodation and the bath is quite high to step into, so, if you have issues with a disability then this hotel is probably not for you, however this is an old Federation hotel so you must keep that in mind. Facilities basic but adequate and clean.

Positive: Great historical feel and beautiful matching decor, lovely pub garden area with festoon lights. Quite atmospheric. Lovely Pub, Friendly staff. Nice rooms, comfortable. Very Clean. Helpful staff all around. First time visit to Kyogle - normally stay at hotels and motels - however this stay was a fraction of the cost and exceed expectations at all levels. Thankyou for your hospitatlity.
Summary: Great historical feel ,beautiful matching decor, lovely staff, and pub interiors. Value for money
