Bright, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, The Far-Away House is the kind of place you'll want to return to year-round. Whether you're visiting in the warmth of summer or the cool of winter, we've got your comfort covered. Stay cool with evaporative air conditioning throughout, ceiling fans in every room, and split systems for extra chill. In the cooler months, snuggle up by the cozy slow-combustion fireplace or warm your toes in no time with the split systems.
The garage doubles as a games room, complete with evaporative cooling, a ceiling fan, and everyone’s favourite: a ping pong table! Grab yourself a book and relax in the hammock in between Mildura adventures or play board games with the family in the lounge.
Our bedrooms include:

Summary: We stay in Mildura often and this is the best place we have stayed. Perfect for our family and trips to the river with our boat. It was a very hot week but the house was set up perfectly to accommodate our family. We could come home from the river, unpack the boat, organise dinner and then relax outside under the pergola while the kids played table tennis in the shed. Would definitely recommend for families. Close to the river and not far from supermarkets. Everyone felt at home and we all enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The Faraway House was the perfect place to stay for my work trip. The beds were very comfortable, and with a few hot days, the air conditioning worked very well. The hosts even left it running before we arrived for our comfort! We unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the outdoor space or games very much, except for some TV in the evening, however we enjoyed our time in the house nonetheless. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Penny and Rick were great hosts with clear communication, instructions and also pleasantly surprising us by leaving a very generous gift of a bottle of wine and bread to enjoy during our stay.
