Overlooking the Hebe Reef and Bass Strait, The Foreshore provides stunning views, east to the historic Low Head Lighthouse and west, to Narawntapu National Park. It offers quality accommodation for one or 2 couples with the master bedroom looking onto the coast. The kitchen, dining, living area opens onto the wide covered deck and Bass Strait, at high tide, is only 50 metres away.

Have a relaxing weekend, enjoying the immediate surroundings or make this your base for a longer stay in the beautiful Tamar Valley, renowned for its winery tour route, local markets, historic sites and seasonal events and festivities. Greens Beach,the shop stocking local gourmet products, the 9 hole golf course and the tennis courts are only minutes away by car or foot. Walk the coastal track east to the main beach or west to the national park,the West Head lookout and the secluded Badgers Head Beach. 50 minutes by road from the city of Launceston and an hour from either the Launceston Airport or the Devonport Ferry Terminal, The Foreshore is ideally situated to enjoy all that northern Tasmania has to offer.

Fully insulated with a reverse-cycle heat pump means The Foreshore is cool in summer and warm and toasty even on the coolest of days.
The new kitchen features everything required including a dishwasher; the lounge area has a large tv, comfortable couches, a sound system and a library of dvds. As well as a second bedroom, the house also has a reading room stocked with books and a small room ready to be used as a study.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at The Foreshore in Greens Beach. The location was nice with lots of bush tracks. The highlight was seeing the visiting Paddymellons each afternoon, which the neighbours threw out food for (the neighbours were nice & friendly and not intrusive, as the accommodation is quite private. The phone and wifi reception can be a bit dodgy, but we managed okay. We were glad we remembered to take our own tea-bags, sugar & milk, as there's very little supplies at the house..... just a few measley left-overs from previous guests. The linen could do with an upgrade and there's no face-washers. It's not mentioned in the listing, but the bath-tub is not usable (they have disabled the water spout), because they are only on tank-water. They've got a fabulous library room in the house, so if you enjoy reading, you will love it ! There's only about 20 dvd movies to choose from and no board games. The BBQ is old & rusty..... we didn't use it. Sitting on the patio, with a glass of wine, looking at the water view and the Paddymelons, was the highlight for us. Many thanks.

Summary: Great location with glorious view over Bass Strait. Unwind sitting on the deck, walking the trails, exploring rock pools or enjoying the nearby beaches. Loved it! The host was very kind, helpful and flexible as we navigated Covid restrictions. Highly recommend.

Summary: A very relaxing stay by the sea. Panoramic views out to Bass Strait, Hebe Reef & Low Head. Coastal sea side walks and an abundance of birds and wildlife. Wombats and potteroos happily grazed nearby .

Summary: The Foreshore absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was hoping for a secluded retreat at Greens Beach (far away from the lawnmower at the golf course, which can definitely intrude on the serenity!) - but nothing really prepared me for the delights of The Foreshore. The house faces north and I stayed in the middle of winter, so the living room and main bedroom were drenched in sunshine. I spent loads of time relaxing on the front deck enjoying the sights and sounds of the waves. Even had a few swims on sunny days. There is a walking track at the bottom of the garden. Turn left, and it leads to a sheltered beach (less than 10 mins) and the national park hiking trail; turn right, and the path leads to the well-stocked Greens Beach store and the main beach. The house was modern, warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable for my one-week stay. There are neighbours on each side but the house is still very private. In fact I only really saw people around on the weekend. I know a few other reviews have mentioned wifi... The mobile service was a bit patchy, but I brought my own wifi router and indoor aerial and had no problems at all with signal, enough for Zoom meetings and movies etc. (for those interested, I hung the aerial up in the reading room window). Kathy is fantastic to deal with. She let me check in early and cleaned the windows for my arrival so I'd have the perfect view. Lots of wildlife to enjoy the evenings - pademelons, a sea eagle, even a wombat. I'm already looking forward to returning. Thanks Kathy!
